Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I was standing with one of my Ansari uncles, serving him wine, when suddenly a man came to us from the direction of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in a flustered manner. We asked: What has happened behind you? He replied: Wine has been declared unlawful. So those people said to me: O Anas! Pour it out. Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) says: So I poured it out. Nadr bin Anas says: In those days, this was the wine that those people used to drink.
