Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The last time I saw the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was when he lifted the curtain on a Monday. The people were standing in rows performing prayer behind Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him). When they saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), they began to move. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) signaled to them to remain in their places. I looked at the blessed face of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and it was as if it were a page from the Qur'an. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) let the curtain fall, and in the last part of that very day, he passed away.
