Hadith Commentary:
From this hadith, it is understood that there are four types of vessels whose use the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) prohibited.

➊ "Duba’" — that is, a vessel made from the gourd (bottle gourd).

➋ "Muzaffat" — that is, a vessel coated with pitch or tar.

➌ "Hantam" — that is, a vessel made of lacquered clay or a lacquered jar.

➍ "Naqir" — that is, a vessel made from wood.

These are the four vessels in which the making of nabidh (fermented drink) was forbidden.

Before Islam, the vessels in which people used to make wine, the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) also forbade making nabidh in them.
For this purpose, generally four types of vessels were used, the details of which we will mention later.
In this hadith, these four vessels are mentioned.
At the beginning of the prohibition of wine, the use of these vessels was also forbidden, but later their use was permitted.
