Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) served guests with sattu (roasted barley flour) and dates at the wedding feast (walima) of Sayyidah Safiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her). Sufyan says: I heard Zuhri narrate this hadith, but I could not remember it (the narrator from whom I have transmitted this narration is) Bakr bin Wa’il, who used to attend the gatherings of Zuhri with us.
