Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Four rivers are from Paradise: the Euphrates, the Sayhan, the Jayhan, and the Nile."

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Muhammad Ibrahim bin Basheer
Benefit:
In this hadith, there is mention of four rivers of Paradise, and by these are not meant the rivers of this world; rather, these rivers will be in Paradise. As an additional benefit, it is presented that "Mawara' al-Nahr" (Transoxiana), from where Allah Ta'ala produced many great hadith scholars (muhaddithin), refers to the regions beyond the Jayhun (Oxus) and Sihun rivers. By "Wara' al-Nahr" is meant this very river, and this river is adjacent to Afghanistan. Samarkand, Bukhara, and other such places fall within the region of Mawara' al-Nahr.
