Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Allah becomes responsible for the person who leaves his house to participate in jihad in the way of Allah, believing in Me and affirming My Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), and leaves only for jihad. (So Allah takes the responsibility) that if I cause him to die, then I will admit him into Paradise, and if I return him, then I will return him to the house from which he left, along with reward and spoils of war.”
