Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Muhammad Ibrahim bin Basheer
Benefit:
In this hadith, the reality of the elderly person is described: that a human’s body and emotions may become old, yet his love for wealth and life remains youthful—that is, the love for these two things troubles him in old age just as it did in youth. And we observe this ourselves, that elderly people have a great love for wealth.

Explanation:
1:
The meaning is that the heart of an old person is filled with the desire for a long life and the love of abundant wealth,
that is, despite being old, within him the greed for wealth and the wish for an increase in lifespan—these two desires remain youthful.
