Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) distributed something, so a man said: "This is a distribution in which the pleasure of Allah was not intended." The narrator says: Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) has narrated this: I could not control myself. I went to the service of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and informed him about this matter, so the blessed face of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) (the narrator is in doubt, perhaps these are the words) changed color. Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: At that moment, I wished that I had embraced Islam on that day (i.e., I was a new Muslim and had not witnessed this). Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Then the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Sayyiduna Musa (peace be upon him) was harmed more than this, but he remained patient."
