Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Of all the poetry spoken by any poet, the truest verse is this: "Beware! Everything except Allah Almighty is perishable, and every blessing will ultimately come to an end." (The Noble Prophet [peace and blessings be upon him] also said:) "Ibn Abi Salat was close to becoming Muslim."
