Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A Bedouin presented a she-camel as a gift to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), so the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave him three she-camels in return. But he was not satisfied with that. Then the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave him three more she-camels, yet he was still not satisfied. Then the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave him three more she-camels. He became satisfied after receiving nine she-camels. So the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I have decided that from now on I will only accept a gift from a Qurayshi, Ansari, Thaqafi, or Dosi person." Sufyan says: Other narrators besides Ibn ‘Ajlan have reported this statement. Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: When the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said this, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) turned his attention and looked towards me, so I felt shy. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "(Or I will accept a gift) from a Dosi person."
