Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Sayyiduna Abu al-Qasim (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When a person recites this verse: «لا أُقْسِمُبِيَوْمِالْقِيَامَةِ» (75-al-Qiyamah:1) 'I do not swear by the Day of Resurrection,' until he reaches its end: «أَلَيْسَذَلِكَبِقَادِرٍعَلَىأَنْيُحْيِيَالْمَوْتَى» (75-al-Qiyamah:40) 'Is He not able to give life to the dead?' then the person should say at that time: Yes. And when a person recites this surah: «وَالْمُرْسَلاتِعُرْفًا» (77-al-Mursalat:1) and recites it to its end: «فَبِأَيِّحَدِيثٍبَعْدَهُيُؤْمِنُونَ» (77-al-Mursalat:50) 'Then in what statement after this will they believe?' then the person should say: I believe in Allah. And when a person recites Surah Teen «وَالتِّينِوَالزَّيْتُونِ» (95-at-Tin:1) and reaches its end: «أَلَيْسَاللهُبِأَحْكَمِالْحَاكِمِينَ» (95-at-Tin:8) 'Is not Allah the most just of judges?' then the person should say: Yes. The narrator named Sufyan sometimes narrates these words: 'Yes! And I am also among those who bear witness.' Sufyan says: Ismail narrated this, I asked that Bedouin: Recite this hadith to me again! So he said: O my nephew! Do you think I would not remember this hadith? I have performed sixty Hajj, and I remember about each one of them which camel I rode for that Hajj."

Narrated Abu Hurairah: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: When one of you recites "By the fig and the olive" (Surah 95) and comes to its end "Is not Allah the best judge?" (verse 8), he should say: "Certainly, and I am one of those who testify to that. " When one recites "I swear by the Day of Resurrection" (Surah 75) and comes to "Is not that one able to raise the dead to life? (verse 40), he should say: "Certainly. " And when one recites "By those that are sent" (Surah 77), and comes to "Then in what message after that will they believe? " (Surah 50), he should say: "We believe in Allah. " The narrator Ismail (ibn Umayyah) said: I beg to repeat (this tradition) before the Bedouin (who reported this tradition) so that I might see whether he (was mistaken). He said: My nephew, do you think that I did not remember it? I performed sixty hajj (pilgrimages); there is no hajj but I recognize the came on which I performed it.

887. Commentary: In this hadith, the Bedouin narrator is unknown (majhool); however, from other authentic ahadith it is established that upon verses of mercy, one should ask Allah for His mercy, and upon verses of punishment, one should seek protection from punishment.
