Hadith 1008

Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Do not prevent the female servants of Allah from going to the mosques of Allah, and women should not go out in a state that fragrance is emanating from them.”

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Muhammad Ibrahim bin Basheer
Benefit:
As mentioned earlier: 950, this hadith proves that if women wish to go to the mosque for the purpose of performing prayer and they seek permission, then they should be granted permission. The present era is full of trials; when any woman wishes to go to the mosque, if possible, a mahram should accompany her, drop her off at the mosque, and then return. After the prayer concludes, he himself should go and bring her back home.

Shaykh Umar Farooq Saeedi
565. Commentary:
This action is based on the desire of women; if they wish to come to the mosque with permission, they should not be prevented. The female Companions (sahabiyyat) used to come, but it is necessary for them to come veiled and in simple clothing. However, it is preferable that women perform the prayer at home while observing proper veiling. This is made clear by further ahadith that follow.
