Hadith 1003

1003 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ: ثنا الْعَلَاءُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ مَوْلَي الْحُرَقَةِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " قَالَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَي قَسَمْتُ الصَّلَاةَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ عَبْدِي، فَإِذَا قَالَ الْعَبْدُ: ﴿ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ﴾ قَالَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: حَمِدَنِي عَبْدِي، فَإِذَا قَالَ: ﴿ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ﴾ ، قَالَ: أَثْنَي عَلَيَّ عَبْدِي، أَوْ مَجَّدَنِي عَبْدِي، وَإِذَا قَالَ الْعَبْدُ: ﴿ مَالِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّينِ﴾ ، قَالَ: فَوَّضَ إِلَيَّ عَبْدِي، فَإِذَا قَالَ: ﴿ إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ﴾ ، فَهَذِهِ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ عَبْدِي، وَلِعَبْدِي مَا سَأَلَ، ﴿ اهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ صِرَاطَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا الضَّالِّينَ﴾ ، فَهَذِهِ لِعَبْدِي وَلِعَبْدِي مَا سَأَلَ "

Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Allah Almighty has said: I have divided the prayer between Myself and My servant, when My servant recites: ‘All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds,’ Allah says: My servant has praised Me. When the servant recites: ‘The Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate,’ Allah says: My servant has extolled Me, or My servant has glorified Me. When the servant recites: ‘Master of the Day of Judgment,’ Allah says: My servant has entrusted (his affairs) to Me. When the servant recites: ‘You alone we worship and You alone we ask for help,’ this part is between Me and My servant. And My servant will have what he asks for. When the servant recites: ‘Guide us to the straight path, the path of those upon whom You have bestowed favor, not of those who have evoked (Your) anger or of those who are astray,’ (Allah says:) This thing will be granted to My servant. My servant will have what he asks for.”
