حَدِيثُ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ
Hadith of Jubayr ibn Mut'im (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith 16771
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " إِنَّ لِي أَسْمَاءً ، أَنَا أَحْمَدُ ، وَأَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ ، وَأَنَا الْمَاحِي الَّذِي يَمْحُو اللَّهُ بِي الْكُفْرَ ، وَأَنَا الْحَاشِرُ الَّذِي يُحْشَرُ النَّاسُ عَلَى قَدَمِي ، وَأَنَا الْعَاقِبُ " ، قَالَ مَعْمَرٌ : قُلْتُ لِلزُّهْرِيِّ : مَا الْعَاقِبُ ؟ ، قَالَ : الَّذِي لَيْسَ بَعْدَهُ نَبِيٌّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jubair that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: I have several names, I am Muhammad, I am Ahmad, I am Hashir, at whose feet people will be gathered, I am Mahi, through whom disbelief will be erased, and I am Aqib. I asked Imam Zuhri about the meaning of Aqib: so he said: After whom there will be no prophet (peace be upon him).
Hadith 16772
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " لَا يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ قَاطِعٌ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jubair bin Mut'im (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying: "No person who severs ties (of kinship) will enter Paradise."
Hadith 16773
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، وَكَانَ جَاءَ فِي فِدَى الْأُسَارَى يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يَقْرَأُ فِي الْمَغْرِبِ بِالطُّورِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jubair bin Mut'im (may Allah be pleased with him) that he came to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) regarding the ransom of the captives of the Battle of Badr. At that time, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was leading the Maghrib prayer, and he began reciting Surah At-Tur.
Hadith 16774
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، وَابْنُ بَكْرٍ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ بَابَاهُ يُخْبِرُ ، عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " خير عَطَاءِ هَذا ، يا بَنِي عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ ، يَا بَنِي عَبْدِ مَنَافٍ ، إِنْ كَانَ إِلَيْكُمْ مِنَ الْأَمْرِ شَيْءٌ فَلَأَعْرِفَنَّ مَا مَنَعْتُمْ أَحَدًا يُصَلِّي عِنْدَ هَذَا الْبَيْتِ أَيَّ سَاعَةٍ شَاءَ مِنْ لَيْلٍ أَوْ نَهَارٍ " ، وَقَالَ ابْنُ بَكْرٍ : أَنْ يَطُوفَ بِهَذَا الْبَيْتِ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jubair bin Mut'im (may Allah be pleased with him) that: O Banu Abd Manaf! And O Banu Abdul Muttalib! Do not prevent anyone from performing Tawaf of the House of Allah or from offering prayer, under any circumstances, whether it is during the day or at any part of the night.
Hadith 16775
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عمرو بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ ، أَنَّ أَبَاهُ أَخْبَرَهُ بَيْنَا هُوَ يَسِيرُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَمَعَهُ النَاسٌ مَقْفَلَهُ مِنْ حُنَيْنٍ عَلِقَهُ الْأَعْرَابُ يَسْأَلُونَهُ ، فَاضْطَرُّوهُ إِلَى سَمُرَةٍ ، فَخَطِفَتْ رِدَاءَهُ وَهُوَ عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ ، فَوَقَفَ ، فَقَالَ : " رُدُّوا عَلَيَّ رِدَائِي ، أَتَخْشَوْنَ عَلَيَّ الْبُخْلَ ؟ فَلَوْ كَانَ عَدَدُ هَذِهِ الْعِضَاهِ نَعَمًا لَقَسَمْتُهُ بَيْنَكُمْ ، ثُمَّ لَا تَجِدُونِي بَخِيلًا وَلَا جَبَانًا وَلَا كَذَّابًا " ، قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ : أَخْطَأَ مَعْمَرٌ فِي نَسَبِ عُمَرَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، وَهُوَ عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jubair bin Mut’im, may Allah be pleased with him, that on the return from the Battle of Hunayn, he was walking with the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and other people were also with them, when some Bedouins stopped the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, on the way and began to ask for the spoils of war, until they forced the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, to take refuge under an acacia tree. During this, someone even pulled off the cloak of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. At this, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, stopped and said: "Give me back my cloak. If I had blessings equal to the number of these thorns, I would distribute them among you, and you would not find me to be miserly, a liar, or a coward."
Hadith 16776
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ ، عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ ، قَالَ : أَضْلَلْتُ جَمَلًا لِي يَوْمَ عَرَفَةَ ، فَانْطَلَقْتُ إِلَى عَرَفَةَ أَبْتَغِيهِ ، فَإِذَا أنا بِمُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " وَاقِفٌ فِي النَّاسِ بِعَرَفَةَ عَلَى بَعِيرِهِ عَشِيَّةَ عَرَفَةَ ، وَذَلِكَ بَعْدَمَا أُنْزِلَ عَلَيْهِ " .
(Marfu‘ hadith) Muhammad ibn Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ibn Jurayj informed us, he said: ‘Amr ibn Dinar informed me, from Jubayr ibn Mut‘im, who said: I lost a camel of mine on the Day of ‘Arafah, so I went to ‘Arafah seeking it, and behold, I saw Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, standing among the people at ‘Arafah on his camel on the afternoon of ‘Arafah, and that was after it had been revealed to him.
Hadith 16777
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ ، أَنَّ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ جُبَيْرٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي جُبَيْرُ بْنُ مُطْعِمٍ ، أَنَّهُ " بَيْنَا هُوَ يَسِيرُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ ، يَعْنِي نَحْوَ حَدِيثِ مَعْمَرٍ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jubair (may Allah be pleased with him) that my camel was lost in the plain of Arafat. I went out to search for it and saw that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was standing in Arafat. This was at the time when the series of revelation had begun upon him. Benefit: In fact, the people of Quraysh did not go to the plain of Arafat and they were called Hums, but the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) broke this custom.
Hadith 16778
حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَخِي ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ ، أَنَّ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ جُبَيْرٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي جُبَيْرُ بْنُ مُطْعِمٍ ، أَنَّهُ بَيْنَا هُوَ يَسِيرُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَقْفَلَهُ مِنْ حُنَيْنٍ ، فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ .
Yaqoub narrated to us, he said: Ibn Akhi Ibn Shihab narrated to us, from his uncle, he said: Umar ibn Muhammad ibn Jubayr ibn Mut'im informed me, that Muhammad ibn Jubayr said: Jubayr ibn Mut'im informed me, that while he was traveling with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, on his return from Hunayn, he mentioned its meaning.
Hadith 16779
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ ، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : بَيْنَا نَحْنُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِطَرِيقِ مَكَّةَ ، إِذْ قَالَ : " يَطْلُعُ عَلَيْكُمْ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ كَأَنَّهُمْ السَّحَابُ ، هُمْ خِيَارُ مَنْ فِي الْأَرْضِ " ، فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ : وَلَا نَحْنُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ؟ فَسَكَتَ ، قَالَ : وَلَا نَحْنُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ؟ فَسَكَتَ ، قَالَ : وَلَا نَحْنُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ؟ ، فَقَالَ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ كَلِمَةً ضَعِيفَةً : " إِلَّا أَنْتُمْ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jubair bin Mut’im (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) raised his head towards the sky and said: “The best people among the inhabitants of the earth, that is, the people of Yemen, are coming to you like pieces of clouds.” A man sitting with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: “O Messenger of Allah! Are they even better than us?” The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied softly: “Except for you.”
Hadith 16780
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعُ ، وَعَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ صُرَدٍ ، عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ ، قَالَ : تَذَاكَرْنَا الْغُسْلَ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ : " أَمَّا أَنَا فَأُفِيضُ عَلَى رَأْسِي ثَلَاثًا " ، وقال عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ : ذُكِرَتْ الْجَنَابَةُ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : " أَمَّا أَنَا فَآخُذُ بِكَفِّي ثَلَاثًا ، فَأُفِيضُ عَلَى رَأْسِي " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jubair bin Mut'im (may Allah be pleased with him) that once we were discussing the ritual bath (ghusl) in the presence of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I take water in both my hands and pour it over my head three times."
Hadith 16781
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا النُّعْمَانُ بْنُ سَالِمٍ قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ إِنْسَانًا لَا أَحْفَظُ اسْمَهُ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنَّ أُنَاسًا يَزْعُمُونَ أَنَّهُ لَيْسَ لَنَا أُجُورٌ بِمَكَّةَ ؟ ، قَالَ : " لَتَأْتِيَنَّكُمْ أُجُورُكُمْ وَلَوْ كَانَ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي جُحْرِ ثَعْلَبٍ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jubair bin Mut'im (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I submitted in the court of the Messenger: O Messenger of Allah! Some people think that we do not receive any reward in Makkah Mukarramah? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: They are wrong, you will surely receive your reward, even if you are in a fox's den.
Hadith 16782
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ ، عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ الْمُسَيَّبِ قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي جُبَيْرُ بْنُ مُطْعِمٍ ، أَنَّهُ جَاءَ وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَفَّانَ يُكَلِّمَانِ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِيمَا قَسَمَ مِنْ خُمُسِ حُنَيْنٍ بَيْنَ بَنِي هَاشِمٍ ، وَبَنِي الْمُطَّلِبِ ، فَقَالَا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، قَسَمْتَ لِإِخْوَانِنَا بَنِي الْمُطَّلِبِ ، وَبَنِي عَبْدِ مَنَافٍ ، وَلَمْ تُعْطِنَا شَيْئًا ، وَقَرَابَتُنَا مِثْلُ قَرَابَتِهِمْ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّمَا أَرَى هَاشِمًا ، وَالْمُطَّلِبَ شَيْئًا وَاحِدًا " ، قَالَ جُبَيْرٌ : وَلَمْ يَقْسِمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِبَنِي عَبْدِ شَمْسٍ ، وَلَا لِبَنِي نَوْفَلٍ مِنْ ذَلِكَ الْخُمُسِ كَمَا قَسَمَ لِبَنِي هَاشِمٍ وَبَنِي الْمُطَّلِبِ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jubair bin Mut’im (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) distributed the spoils of Khaybar among his close relatives, Banu Hashim and Banu Abdul Muttalib, I and Sayyiduna Uthman Ghani (may Allah be pleased with him) presented ourselves before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah! We do not deny the virtue of Banu Hashim, for you have a status and rank which Allah has mentioned for you along with them, but as for Banu Muttalib, you have given to them and left us out? Yet they and we have the same relation and status with you. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: In fact, these people did not separate from me in the time of ignorance nor in the time of Islam, and Banu Hashim and Banu Muttalib are one and the same. Saying this, he interlaced the fingers of both his hands together to show it.
Hadith 16783
(حديث مرفوع) قَرَأْتُ عَلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ : مَالِكٍ ، وَحَدَّثَنِي حَمَّادٌ الْخَيَّاطُ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " قَرَأَ بِالطُّورِ فِي الْمَغْرِبِ " ، وَقَالَ حَمَّادٌ : إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَرَأَ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jubair (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) reciting Surah At-Tur in the Maghrib prayer.
Hadith 16784
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الْعَنَزِيِّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، وقَالَ يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، عَنْ نَافِعِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ دَخَلَ فِي صَلَاةٍ ، فَقَالَ : " اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ كَبِيرًا ، اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ كَبِيرًا ، اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ كَبِيرًا ، الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ بُكْرَةً وَأَصِيلًا ثَلَاثًا سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ بُكْرَةً وَأَصِيلًا ثَلَاثًا اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ ، مِنْ هَمْزِهِ وَنَفْخِهِ وَنَفْثِهِ " ، قَالَ عُمَرُو : وَهَمْزُهُ الْمُوتَةُ ، وَنَفْخُهُ الْكِبْرُ ، وَنَفْثُهُ الشِّعْرُ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jubair bin Mut’im that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in the voluntary prayers recite three times: Allahu Akbar Kabira, three times: Walhamdulillahi Kathira, and three times: Subhanallahi Bukratan wa Aseela, and he would recite this supplication: O Allah! I seek refuge in You from the evil suggestions, spitting, and blowing of the accursed Satan. Amr says: By “evil suggestions” is meant that death which seizes the son of Adam, by “blowing” is meant arrogance, and by “spitting” is meant poetry.
Hadith 16785
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، وَبَهْزٌ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ بَعْضَ إِخْوَتِي يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ أَبِي ، عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ ، أَنَّهُ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي فِدَى الْمُشْرِكِينَ ، وَقَالَ بَهْزٌ : فِي فِدَى أَهْلِ بَدْرٍ ، وَقَالَ ابْنُ جَعْفَرٍ : وَمَا أَسْلَمَ يَوْمَئِذٍ ، قَالَ : " فَانْتَهَيْتُ إِلَيْهِ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي الْمَغْرِبَ ، وَهُوَ يَقْرَأُ فِيهَا بِالطُّورِ " ، قَالَ : فَكَأَنَّمَا صُدِعَ قَلْبِي حَيْثُ سَمِعْتُ الْقُرْآنَ ، وَقَالَ بَهْزٌ فِي حَدِيثِهِ : فَكَأَنَّمَا صُدِعَ قَلْبِي حِينَ سَمِعْتُ الْقُرْآنَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jubair bin Mut'im (may Allah be pleased with him) that he came to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) regarding the ransom of the captives of the Battle of Badr. Until that time, he had not accepted Islam. He says: I entered the Prophet's Mosque while the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was leading the Maghrib prayer. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) began reciting Surah At-Tur. When the sound of the Qur'an reached my ears, my heart began to tremble.
Hadith 16786
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا إِسْحَاقَ يُحَدِّثُ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنَ صُرَدٍ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنَّهُ ذُكِرَ عِنْدَهُ الْغُسْلُ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ فَقَالَ : " أَمَّا أَنَا فَأُفْرِغُ عَلَى رَأْسِي ثَلَاثًا " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jubair bin Mut'im (may Allah be pleased with him) that once we were discussing the ritual bath (ghusl) in the presence of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I take water in both my hands and pour it over my head three times."
