حَدِيثُ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي ذُبَابٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ
Hadith of Sa'd ibn Abi Dhi'bab (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith 16728
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا صَفْوَانُ بْنُ عِيسَى ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَارِثُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ مُنِيرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي ذُبَابٍ ، قَالَ : " قَدِمْتُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَأَسْلَمْتُ ، قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، اجْعَلْ لِقَوْمِي مَا أَسْلَمُوا عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَمْوَالِهِمْ ، فَفَعَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَاسْتَعْمَلَنِي عَلَيْهِمْ ، ثُمَّ اسْتَعْمَلَنِي أَبُو بَكْرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ ، ثُمَّ اسْتَعْمَلَنِي عُمَرُ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa’d bin Abu Dhibab (may Allah be pleased with him) that I presented myself before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and accepted Islam, and said: O Messenger of Allah! The people of my tribe who give out the wealth of Zakat, appoint me as responsible over them. After the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), Sayyiduna Siddiq Akbar (Abu Bakr) and after him Sayyiduna Umar also kept me in this service.
