Hadith 16718
(حديث مرفوع) قال عَبْد اللَّهِ بن أحمد : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ سَوَاءٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَوَاءٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حُمْرَانُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ العُمَري ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي سَدُوسٍ ، عَنْ قُطْبَةَ بْنِ قَتَادَةَ ، قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يُفْطِرُ إِذَا غَرَبَتِ الشَّمْسُ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Qutbah bin Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) that I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) breaking his fast at the time when the sun would set.
Hadith 16719
(حديث موقوف) قال قال عَبْد اللَّهِ بن أحمد : حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ سَوَاءٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ سَوَاءٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي حُمْرَانُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي سَدُوسٍ ، عَنْ قُطْبَةَ بْنِ قَتَادَةَ ، قَالَ : " بَايَعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى ابْنَتِي الْحَوْصَلَةِ ، وَكَانَ يُكَنَى بِأَبِي الْحَوْصَلَةِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Qutbah bin Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) that I pledged allegiance on the hand of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) on behalf of my daughter Hausalah as well. It should be noted that his kunyah was Abu al-Hausalah.
