حَدِيثُ قَيْسِ بْنِ عَائِذٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ
Hadith of Qays ibn A'idh (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith 16715
(حديث مرفوع) قال عَبْد اللَّهِ بن أحمد : حَدَّثَنِي سُرَيْجُ بْنُ يُونُسَ مِنْ كِتَابِهِ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْمُؤَدِّبُ ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ عَائِذٍ ، قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يَخْطُبُ عَلَى نَاقَةٍ خَرْمَاءَ ، وَعَبْدٌ حَبَشِيٌّ مُمْسِكٌ بِخِطَامِهَا " وَهَلَكَ قَيْسٌ أَيَّامَ الْمُخْتَارِ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Qais bin ‘Aidh that I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) delivering a sermon on a she-camel whose ear was pierced, and an Abyssinian was holding its rein. It should be noted that Sayyiduna Qais passed away during the days of trial under Mukhtar.
