حَدِيثُ يَحْيَى بْنِ حُصَيْنِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ جَدَّتِهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ
Hadith of Yahya ibn Husayn ibn Urwah from his grandmother (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith 16646
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حُصَيْنِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَتْنِي جَدَّتِي ، قَالَتْ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " وَلَوْ اسْتُعْمِلَ عَلَيْكُمْ عَبْدٌ يَقُودُكُمْ بِكِتَابِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ، فَاسْمَعُوا لَهُ وَأَطِيعُوا " .
Yahya bin Husain narrates from his grandmother that I heard the Prophet (peace be upon him) say: If even a slave is appointed as your leader who leads you according to the Book of Allah, then listen to him and obey him.
Hadith 16647
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ ، عَنْ جَدَّتِهِ ، قَالَتْ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " يَرْحَمُ اللَّهُ الْمُحَلِّقِينَ " ، قَالُوا : فِي الثَّالِثَةِ وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ ، قَالَ : " الْمُقَصِّرِينَ " .
Yahya bin Husain narrates from his grandmother that I heard the Prophet (peace be upon him) say three times: "May Allah's mercy be upon those who shave their heads." The third time, people requested that those who shorten their hair also be included in the supplication, so the Prophet (peace be upon him) included them as well.
