It is narrated from the grandfather of Abdul Hameed bin Saifi that once Sayyiduna Suhaib Rumi presented himself before the Prophet (peace be upon him). At that time, there were dates and bread placed before the Prophet (peace be upon him). The Prophet (peace be upon him) said to Suhaib, "Come closer and eat." So he began to eat the dates. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Do you not have an eye ailment?" He replied, "O Messenger of Allah! I am eating from the other side." Upon this, the Prophet (peace be upon him) smiled.
