حَدِیث السَّائِبِ بنِ خَلَّاد اَبِی سَهلَةَ
Hadith of al-Sa'ib ibn Khallad Abu Sahla
Hadith 16557
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ ، عَنْ خَلَّادِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ بْنِ خَلَّادٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " أَتَانِي جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ ، فَقَال : مُرْ أَصْحَابَكَ ، فَلْيَرْفَعُوا أَصْوَاتَهُمْ بِالْإِهْلَالِ " ، وَقَالَ سُفْيَانُ مَرَّةً : " أَتَانِي جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ فَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ آمُرَ أَصْحَابِي أَنْ يَرْفَعُوا أَصْوَاتَهُمْ بِالْإِهْلَالِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Saib (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) once said: Jibreel came to me and said, "Order your companions to recite the Talbiyah in a loud voice."
Hadith 16557M
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ عِيَاضٍ اللَّيْثِيُّ أَبُو ضَمْرَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ خُصَيْفَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي صَعْصَعَةَ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، عَنِ السَّائِبِ بْنِ خَلَّادٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَنْ أَخَافَ أَهْلَ الْمَدِينَةِ ظُلْمًا أَخَافَهُ اللَّهُ ، وَعَلَيْهِ لَعْنَةُ اللَّهِ وَالْمَلَائِكَةِ وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ ، لَا يَقْبَلُ اللَّهُ مِنْهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ صَرْفًا وَلَا عَدْلًا " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Saib (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Whoever unjustly frightens the people of Madinah, Allah will impose fear upon him. Upon him will be the curse of Allah, His angels, and all mankind, and on the Day of Resurrection, Allah will not accept any obligatory or voluntary act from him.
Hadith 16558
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنِ الْمُطَّلِبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ حَنْطَبٍ ، عَنْ خَلَّادِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ زَرَعَ زَرْعًا ، فَأَكَلَ مِنْهُ الطَّيْرُ أَوْ الْعَافِيَةُ ، كَانَ لَهُ بِهِ صَدَقَةٌ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa’ib (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever plants a field, and birds or beasts eat from it, then that is also charity for him.
Hadith 16559
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، عَنِ السَّائِبِ بْنِ خَلَّادٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَنْ أَخَافَ أَهْلَ الْمَدِينَةِ ، أَخَافَهُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ، وَعَلَيْهِ لَعْنَةُ اللَّهِ وَالْمَلَائِكَةِ وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ ، لَا يَقْبَلُ اللَّهُ مِنْهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ صَرْفًا وَلَا عَدْلًا " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Saib (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Whoever unjustly frightens the people of Madinah, Allah will impose fear upon him. Hadith 16560
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ غَيْلَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا رِشْدِينُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْهَادِ ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، عَنِ السَّائِبِ بْنِ خَلَّادٍ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " مَا مِنْ شَيْءٍ يُصِيبُ الْمُؤْمِنَ حَتَّى الشَّوْكَةِ تُصِيبُهُ إِلَّا كُتِبَ اللَّهُ لَهُ بِهَا حَسَنَةٌ وَحَطَّ عَنْهُ بِهَا خَطِيئَةٌ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa’ib (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whatever hardship befalls a Muslim, even if a thorn pricks him, Allah Almighty writes a good deed for him or forgives a sin from him.
Hadith 16561
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْحَارِثِ ، عَنْ بَكْرِ بْنِ سَوَادَةَ الْجُذَامِيِّ ، عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ خَيْوَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَهْلَةَ السَّائِبِ بْنِ خَلَّادٍ ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَمَّ قَوْمًا ، فَبَسَقَ فِي الْقِبْلَةِ ، وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَنْظُرُ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ فَرَغَ : " لَا يُصَلِّ لَكُمْ " ، فَأَرَادَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ لَهُمْ ، فَمَنَعُوهُ ، وَأَخْبَرُوهُ بِقَوْلِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَذَكَرَ ذَلِكَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : " نَعمْ " وَحَسِبْتُ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " آذَيْتَ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa’ib رضي الله عنه that once, during the leadership of prayer by a person, he spat towards the Qiblah while leading some people in prayer. The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم was watching him. After he finished the prayer, the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said to the people: "From now on, this person should not lead you in prayer." So, when he tried to lead the prayer again, the people stopped him and informed him of the statement of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم. He mentioned this matter to the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم, and the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: "Yes! I gave this command because you have caused harm to Allah Almighty."
Hadith 16562
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، عَنِ السَّائِبِ بْنِ خَلَّادٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ أَخَافَ الْمَدِينَةَ أَخَافَهُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ، وَعَلَيْهِ لَعْنَةُ اللَّهِ وَالْمَلَائِكَةِ وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ ، لَا يَقْبَلُ اللَّهُ مِنْهُ صَرْفًا وَلَا عَدْلًا " .

Hadith 16563
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، عَنْ حَبَّانَ بْنِ وَاسِعٍ ، عَنْ خَلَّادِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ ، " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا دَعَا جَعَلَ بَاطِنَ كَفَّيْهِ إِلَى وَجْهِهِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Khallad bin Sa’ib (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to supplicate, he would turn the inner part of his palms towards his face.
Hadith 16564
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، عَنْ حَبَّانَ بْنِ وَاسِعٍ ، عَنْ خَلَّادِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ ، " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا سَأَلَ جَعَلَ بَاطِنَ كَفَّيْهِ ، إِلَيْهِ وَإِذَا اسْتَعَاذَ جَعَلَ ظَاهِرَهُمَا إِلَيْهِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Khallad bin Sa’ib (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would supplicate, he would turn the inner part of his palms towards his face, and when he would seek refuge from something, he would turn the backs of his palms towards his face.
Hadith 16565
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْهَاشِمِيُّ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي يَزِيدُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي صَعْصَعَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ ، أَنَّ عَطَاءَ بْنَ يَسَارٍ أَخْبَرَهُ ، أَنَّ السَّائِبَ بْنَ خَلَّادٍ أَخَا بَنِي الْحَارِثِ بْنِ الْخَزْرَجِ أَخْبَرَهُ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَنْ أَخَافَ أَهْلَ الْمَدِينَةِ ظَالِمًا أَخَافَهُ اللَّهُ ، وَكَانَتْ عَلَيْهِ لَعْنَةُ اللَّهِ وَالْمَلَائِكَةِ وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ ، لَا يُقْبَلُ مِنْهُ عَدْلٌ وَلَا صَرْفٌ " .

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي لَبِيدٍ ، عَنِ الْمُطَّلِبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ حَنْطَبٍ ، عَنْ السَّائِبِ بْنِ خَلَّادٍ ، أَنَّ جِبْرِيلَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " كُنْ عَجَّاجًا ثَجَّاجًا " ، وَالْعَجُّ التَّلْبِيَةُ ، وَالثَّجُّ نَحْرُ الْبُدْنِ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa'ib (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) once said: Jibreel came to me and said, "Order your companions to recite the Talbiyah aloud and to offer sacrifice."
Hadith 16567
(حديث مرفوع) قَرَأْتُ عَلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مَهْدِيٍّ حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ ، وحَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَنَسٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَزْمٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ابْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ ، عَنْ خَلَّادِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " أَتَانِي جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام ، فَقَالَ : أَنْ آمُرَ أَصْحَابِي ، أَوْ مَنْ مَعِي أَنْ يَرْفَعُوا أَصْوَاتَهُمْ بِالتَّلْبِيَةِ " أَوْ " بِالْإِهْلَالِ " يُرِيدُ أَحَدَهُمَا .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa'ib (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) once said: Jibreel came to me and said, "Order your companions to recite the Talbiyah aloud and to offer sacrifice."
Hadith 16568
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، وَرَوْحٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، قَالَ : كَتَبَ إِلَيَّ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرِ ابْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَزْمٍ ، يَقُولُ : حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ ، أَنَّهُ حَدَّثَهُ خَلَّادُ بْنُ السَّائِبِ بْنِ خَلاَّد بِنَ سُوَيْدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ السَّائِبِ بْنِ خَلَّادٍ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " أَتَانِي جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام ، فَقَالَ : إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَأْمُرُكَ أَنْ تَأْمُرَ أَصْحَابَكَ أَنْ يَرْفَعُوا أَصْوَاتَهُمْ بِالتَّلْبِيَةِ وَالْإِهْلَالِ " وَقَالَ رَوْحٌ : " بِالتَّلْبِيَةِ " أَوْ " ِالْإِهْلَالِ " ، قَالَ : وَلَا أَدْرِي أَيُّنَا وَهِلَ ، أَنَا وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ أَوْ خَلَّادٌ ، فِي الْإِهْلَالِ أَوْ التَّلْبِيَةِ ؟ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa'ib (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) once said: Jibreel came to me and said, "Order your companions to recite the Talbiyah aloud and to offer sacrifice."
