Hadith 16492
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Salamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I challenged a man to a duel and killed him, so the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) granted me all his equipment as a reward.
Hadith 16493
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Salamah bin Akwa’ (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw a man eating with his left hand, so he said: "Eat with your right hand." He replied, "I am not able to eat with my right hand." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "May you not be able to," so after that his right hand could not reach his mouth.
Hadith 16494
(حديث مرفوع) (حديث موقوف) حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا
وَكِيعٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا
عِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ ، عَنْ
إِيَاسِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ
أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : قَتَلْتُ رَجُلًا ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ قَتَلَ هَذَا ؟ " ، فَقَالُوا : ابْنُ الْأَكْوَعِ ، فَقَالَ : " لَهُ سَلَبُهُ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Salamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I killed a man. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: Who has killed him? The people replied: Ibn Akwa‘ has. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: All his equipment now belongs to him.
Hadith 16495
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Salamah bin Akwa’ (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had a slave whose name was "Rabah".
Hadith 16496
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Salamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that we used to perform the Friday prayer with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), then we would return at such a time that we could not find even so much shade in the gardens that a person could benefit from it.
Hadith 16497
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Salamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once we launched a night attack on Banu Hawazin in the company of Sayyiduna Siddiq Akbar (may Allah be pleased with him); the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had appointed him as our leader.
Hadith 16498
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Salamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the night when we attacked Banu Hawazin in the company of Sayyiduna Siddiq Akbar (may Allah be pleased with him)—whom the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had appointed as our leader—the sign for recognizing each other among us was the word "Ummat." That night, I killed seven members of a household with my own hand.
Hadith 16499
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا
بَهْزٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا
عِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ الْيَمَامِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا
إِيَاسُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الْأَكْوَعِ ، أَنَّ
أَبَاهُ حَدَّثَهُ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ لِرَجُلٍ ، يُقَالُ لَهُ : بُسْرُ ابْنُ رَاعِي الْعِيرِ أَبْصَرَهُ يَأْكُلُ بِشِمَالِهِ ، فَقَالَ : " كُلْ بِيَمِينِكَ " ، فَقَالَ : لَا أَسْتَطِيعُ ، فَقَالَ : " لَا اسْتَطَعْتَ " ، قَالَ : فَمَا وَصَلَتْ يَمِينُهُ إِلَى فَمِهِ بَعْدُ ، وقَالَ أَبُو النَّضْرِ فِي حَدِيثِهِ : ابْنُ رَاعِي الْعَيْرِ مِنْ أَشْجَعَ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Salamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw a man—whose name was Busar bin Ra’i al-‘Ir—eating with his left hand. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Eat with your right hand." He replied, "I am not able to eat with my right hand." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "May you not be able to." After that, his right hand could not reach his mouth.
