Hadith 16430
Ubad bin Tamim narrates from his uncle that I saw the Prophet (peace be upon him) in the mosque with one leg placed over the other.
Hadith 16431
(حديث مرفوع) قَرَأْتُ عَلَى
عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مَهْدِيٍّ :
مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ ، عَنْ
عَمْرِو بْنِ يَحْيَى الْمَازِنِيِّ ، عَنْ
أَبِيهِ أَنَّ جَدَّهُ ، قَالَ
لِعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ ، وَكَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ هَلْ تَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ تُرِيَنِي كَيْفَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَتَوَضَّأُ ؟ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ زَيْدٍ : نَعَمْ ، فَدَعَا بِوَضُوءٍ " فَأَفْرَغَ عَلَى يَدَيْهِ ، فَغَسَلَ يَدَهُ مَرَّتَيْنِ ، ثُمَّ تَمَضْمَضَ وَاسْتَنْثَرَ ثَلَاثًا ، ثُمَّ غَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ ثَلَاثًا ، ثُمَّ غَسَلَ يَدَيْهِ مَرَّتَيْنِ إِلَى الْمِرْفَقَيْنِ ، ثُمَّ مَسَحَ رَأْسَهُ بِيَدَيْهِ ، فَأَقْبَلَ بِهِمَا وَأَدْبَرَ ، بَدَأَ بِمُقَدَّمِ رَأْسِهِ ، ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ بِهِمَا إِلَى قَفَاهُ ، ثُمَّ رَدَّهُمَا حَتَّى رَجَعَ إِلَى الْمَكَانِ الَّذِي بَدَأَ مِنْهُ ، ثُمَّ غَسَلَ رِجْلَيْهِ " .
Amr bin Yahya narrates from his father that his grandfather asked Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zaid bin Asim, who was a companion, "Can you show me how the Prophet (peace be upon him) performed ablution?" He replied, "Yes!" Then he called for water for ablution, poured it on his hand, washed it twice, rinsed his mouth and sniffed water into his nose three times each, washed his face three times, washed his hands up to the elbows twice, wiped his head with both hands moving them forward and backward, started wiping from the front part of the head and took his hands to the nape, then brought them back to the place where he started wiping, and then washed his feet.
Hadith 16432
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went out to pray for rain, and on that occasion, he turned his cloak around.
Hadith 16433
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: The space between my house and my pulpit is one of the gardens from the gardens of Paradise.
Hadith 16434
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went out to pray for rain, and on that occasion, he turned his cloak around.
Hadith 16435
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went out to pray for rain (Salat al-Istisqa), and on that occasion, when he faced the Qiblah, he turned his cloak around.
Hadith 16436
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) went out to pray Salat al-Istisqa (prayer for rain). On that occasion, he turned his cloak while facing the Qiblah and led two rak'ahs with loud recitation.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) went out to pray Salat al-Istisqa (prayer for rain). عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " مَسَحَ رَأْسَهُ بِيَدَيْهِ ، فَأَقْبَلَ بِهِمَا وَأَدْبَرَ وَبَدَأَ بِمُقَدَّمِ رَأْسِهِ ، ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ بِهِمَا إِلَى قَفَاهُ ، ثُمَّ رَدَّهُمَا حَتَّى رَجَعَ إِلَى الْمَكَانِ الَّذِي بَدَأَ مِنْهُ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) wiped his head with both hands, moving them forward and backward. He started wiping from the front part of the head and took his hands to the nape, then brought them back to the place from where he had started wiping.

Hadith 16440
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that one day I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) performing ablution; he wiped his head with fresh water, not with the moisture left on his hands.
Hadith 16441
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) once performed ablution and began to rub his limbs.
Hadith 16442
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A new ablution becomes obligatory only when you perceive a smell or hear a sound.

عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ زَيْدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيَّ سُئِلَ عَنْ وُضُوءِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " فَدَعَا بِمَاءٍ ، فَغَسَلَ يَدَيْهِ ، وَمَضْمَضَ وَاسْتَنْشَقَ ثَلَاثًا ، وَغَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ ثَلَاثًا ، وَغَسَلَ يَدَيْهِ مَرَّتَيْنِ مَرَّتَيْنِ ، وَمَسَحَ رَأْسَهُ ، قَالَ عُثْمَانُ : " مَسَحَ مَالِكٌ رَأْسَهُ ، فَأَقْبَلَ بِيَدَيْهِ وَأَدْبَرَ بِهِمَا ، وَغَسَلَ رِجْلَيْهِ " ، وَقَالَ : هَكَذَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَتَوَضَّأُ .

عَمْرُو بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ عُمَارَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ .
وَخَلَفُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا
خَالِدٌ ، عَنْ
عَمْرِو بْنِ يَحْيَى ، عَنْ
أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ
عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ ، وَكَانَتْ لَهُ صُحْبَةٌ ، فَقِيلَ لَهُ : تَوَضَّأْ لَنَا وُضُوءَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " فَدَعَا بِإِنَاءٍ فَأَكْفَأَ مِنْهُ عَلَى يَدَيْهِ ثَلَاثًا فَغَسَلَهُمَا ، ثُمَّ أَدْخَلَ يَدَهُ وَاسْتَخْرَجَهَا ، فَمَضْمَضَ وَاسْتَنْشَقَ مِنْ كَفٍّ وَاحِدَةٍ ، فَفَعَلَ ذَلِكَ ثَلَاثًا ، وَاسْتَخْرَجَهَا ، ثُمَّ غَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ ، ثُمَّ أَدْخَلَ يَدَهُ ، فاسْتَخْرَجَهَا ، فَغَسَلَ يَدَيْهِ إِلَى الْمِرْفَقَيْنِ مَرَّتَيْنِ مَرَّتَيْنِ ، ثُمَّ أَدْخَلَ يَدَهُ ، فَاسْتَخْرَجَهَا ، فَمَسَحَ بِرَأْسِهِ ، فَأَقْبَلَ بِيَدِهِ وَأَدْبَرَ ، ثُمَّ غَسَلَ رِجْلَيْهِ إِلَى الْكَعْبَيْنِ " ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : هَكَذَا كَانَ وُضُوءُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .

عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " إِنَّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَرَّمَ مَكَّةَ وَدَعَا لَهَا ، وَحَرَّمْتُ الْمَدِينَةَ كَمَا حَرَّمَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ مَكَّةَ وَدَعَوْتُ لَهُمْ فِي مُدِّهَا وَصَاعِهَا بمِثْلَ مَا دَعَا بِهِ إِبْرَاهِيمُ لِمَكَّةَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Sayyiduna Ibrahim declared Makkah Mukarramah as a sanctuary and prayed for it, and I declare Madinah Munawwarah as a sanctuary just as Sayyiduna Ibrahim declared Makkah Mukarramah as a sanctuary. And I pray for blessings for the people of Madinah in their mudd and sa’ just as Sayyiduna Ibrahim prayed for the people of Makkah.

عَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ ، عَنْ
عَمِّهِ ، أَنَّهُ شَكَا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الرَّجُلُ يَجِدُ الشَّيْءَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ يُخَيَّلُ إِلَيْهِ أَنَّهُ قَدْ كَانَ مِنْهُ ، فَقَالَ : " لَا يَنْفَتِلُ حَتَّى يَجِدَ رِيحًا أَوْ يَسْمَعَ صَوْتًا " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man complained in the presence of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that sometimes during prayer he feels as if his ablution has broken. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do not leave (the prayer) until you smell something or hear a sound.
Hadith 16451
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) went out to pray Salat al-Istisqa (prayer for rain). أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ

سُفْيَانُ : حَدَّثَنَا
يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ يَحْيَى ، مُنْذُ أَرْبَعٍ وَسَبْعِينَ سَنَةً ، وَسَأَلْتُهُ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ بِقَلِيلٍ ، وَكَانَ يَحْيَى أَكْبَرَ مِنْهُ ، قَالَ سُفْيَانُ : سَمِعْتُ مِنْهُ ثَلَاثَةَ أَحَادِيثَ " فَغَسَلَ يَدَيْهِ مَرَّتَيْنِ ، وَوَجْهَهُ ثَلَاثًا ، وَمَسَحَ بِرَأْسِهِ مَرَّتَيْنِ " : سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ سُفْيَانَ ، ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ يَقُولُ : " غَسَلَ رِجْلَيْهِ مَرَّتَيْنِ " ، وَقَالَ مَرَّةً : " مَسَحَ بِرَأْسِهِ مَرَّةً " . وَقَالَ مَرَّتَيْنِ : " مَسَحَ بِرَأْسِهِ مَرَّتَيْنِ " .
Hadith number 15836 ACD is also narrated through this second chain, however, there is a difference in the number; in some places, it mentions washing the hands twice, the face three times, and wiping (masah) twice, and in some places, it mentions washing the feet twice, in some places wiping once, and in some places wiping twice.
Hadith 16453
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: The space between my house and my pulpit is one of the gardens from the gardens of Paradise.
Hadith 16454
Ubadah bin Tamim narrates from his father that I saw the Prophet (ﷺ) performing ablution, and he was wiping over his feet with water.
Hadith 16455

عَبَّادُ بْنُ تَمِيمٍ : أَنَّ
عَمَّهُ ، وَكَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَرَجَ بِالنَّاسِ إِلَى الْمُصَلَّى يَسْتَسْقِي لَهُمْ ، فَقَامَ فَدَعَا قَائِمًا ، ثُمَّ تَوَجَّهَ قِبَلَ الْقِبْلَةِ ، وَحَوَّلَ رِدَاءَهُ ، فَأُسْقُوا " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) went out to pray for rain. On that occasion, he turned his cloak while facing the Qiblah. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) kept standing and supplicating, and thus it rained.
Hadith 16456
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to us. I presented water to him, so he began to perform ablution. He washed his face three times, washed his hands up to the elbows twice, wiped his head with both hands moving them forward and backward, started wiping from the front part of the head and took his hands to the nape, then brought them back to the place where he had started wiping, wiped his ears, and then washed his feet.
Hadith 16457
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that one day I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) performing ablution; he wiped his head with fresh water, not with the moisture left on his hands.
Hadith 16458
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The space between my house and my pulpit is one of the gardens of Paradise, and my pulpit will be at one of the gates of Paradise.
Hadith 16459
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that one day I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) performing ablution at Juhfa. He rinsed his mouth, put water into his nose, washed his face three times, washed his right hand three times, then wiped his head with fresh water other than the moisture remaining on his hands, and then thoroughly washed both his feet.
Hadith 16460

سَكَنُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا
صَالِحُ بْنُ أَبِي الْأَخْضَرِ ، عَنِ
الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ
عَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ
عَمَّهُ ، وَكَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " فَاسْتَسْقَى ، ثُمَّ تَوَجَّهَ قِبَلَ الْقِبْلَةِ ، وَحَوَّلَ إِلَى النَّاسِ ظَهْرَهُ يَدْعُو ، وَحَوَّلَ رِدَاءَهُ ، وَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ " قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ : قَلْبُ الرِّدَاءِ حَتَّى تُحَوَّلَ السَّنَةُ يَصِيرُ الْغَلَاءُ رُخْصًا .

Hadith 16462
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) led the prayer of Istisqa (prayer for rain). At that time, he was wearing a black cloak. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) wanted to turn its lower part upwards, but it became difficult, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) switched the right side to the left and the left side to the right.

لِعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ يَوْمَ الْحَرَّةِ : " هَلُمَّ إِلَى ابْنِ حَنْظَلَةَ ، يُبَايِعُ النَّاسَ ، قَالَ : عَلَامَ يُبَايِعُهُمْ ؟ ، قَالُوا : عَلَى الْمَوْتِ ، قَالَ : لَا أُبَايِعُ عَلَيْهِ أَحَدًا بَعْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " .
Yahya says that during the incident of Harrah, a person said to Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him), "Come! Let us go to Ibn Hanzalah, who is taking allegiance from the people." He asked, "On what is he taking allegiance?" It was said, "On death." He replied, "After the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), I cannot pledge allegiance to anyone on this."
Hadith 16464
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) washed the limbs of ablution twice each while performing ablution.
Hadith 16465
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zaid, who was among the participants of Uhud, that once the Prophet (ﷺ) went out to pray for rain (Salat al-Istisqa). I saw that on this occasion, he made a long supplication and asked abundantly. Then he turned towards the Qiblah and turned his cloak inside out, changing the outer part with the inner part. The people also did the same.
Hadith 16466
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went out to pray for rain (Salat al-Istisqa). On that occasion, he turned towards the Qiblah and turned his cloak around.
Hadith 16467
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that one day I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) performing ablution at Juhfa. He rinsed his mouth, put water into his nose, washed his face three times, washed his right hand three times, then wiped his head with fresh water other than the moisture remaining on his hands, and then thoroughly washed both his feet.
Hadith 16468
(Marfu' hadith) Abu Nu'aym narrated to us, he said: Ibn Abi Dhi'b narrated to us, from az-Zuhri, from 'Abbad ibn Tamim, from his uncle, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, "went out, faced the qiblah and supplicated, and turned his cloak, then prayed two rak'ahs in which he recited aloud."
Hadith 16469
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went out to pray Salat al-Istisqa (prayer for rain). On that occasion, he faced the Qiblah, turned his cloak inside out, and led two rak'ahs with loud recitation.
