حَدِیث ثَلَاثِینَ مِن اَصحَابِ النَّبِیِّ صَلَّى اللَّه عَلَیهِ وَسَلَّمَ
Hadith of thirty from the companions of the Prophet (peace be upon him)
Hadith 16418
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ أَرْطَاةَ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، قَالَ : حَفِظْنَا ، عَنْ ثَلَاثِينَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ " مَنْ أَعْتَقَ شِقْصًا لَهُ فِي مَمْلُوكٍ ضَمِنَ بَقِيَّتَهُ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa'id bin al-Musayyib that we have memorized this hadith from thirty Companions, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Whoever frees his share in a slave, he becomes responsible for the remainder.
