Hadith 16404
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي الْهَيْثَمِ الْعَطَّارُ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ يُوسُفَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَلَامٍ ، وَقَالَ مَرَّةً : سَمِعَهُ مِنْ يُوسُفَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَلَامٍ ، قَالَ : " سَمَّانِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُوسُفَ ، وَمَسَحَ عَلَى رَأْسِي " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Yusuf bin Abdullah that my name was given as Yusuf by the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and he passed his blessed hand over my head.
Hadith 16405
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا مِسْعَرٌ ، عَنْ النَّضْرِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ يُوسُفَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَلَامٍ ، يَقُولُ : " سَمَّانِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُوسُفَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Yusuf bin Abdullah that my name was given by the Prophet (ﷺ) as Yusuf.
Hadith 16406
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الْمُنْكَدِرِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ يُوسُفَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَلَامٍ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِرَجُلٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ وَامْرَأَتِهِ : " اعْتَمِرَا فِي رَمَضَانَ ، فَإِنَّ عُمْرَةً فِي رَمَضَانَ لَكُمَا كَحَجَّةٍ " ، وَقَالَ سُفْيَانُ مَرَّةً : وَلَمْ يَقُلْ حَدَّثَنِي يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْمُنْكَدِرِ فَإِنَّ عُمْرَةً فِيهِ كَحَجَّةٍ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Yusuf bin Abdullah that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said to an Ansari husband and wife: Perform Umrah in Ramadan, for performing Umrah in Ramadan is like performing Hajj for you.
Hadith 16407
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي الْهَيْثَمِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ يُوسُفَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَلَامٍ ، يَقُولُ : " أَجْلَسَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي حَجْرِهِ ، وَمَسَحَ عَلَى رَأْسِي ، وَسَمَّانِي يُوسُفَ " .
(Marfu' hadith) Abu Ahmad az-Zubayri narrated to us, Yahya ibn Abi al-Haytham narrated to us, he said: I heard Yusuf ibn Abd Allah ibn Salam say: "The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, seated me in his lap, wiped over my head, and named me Yusuf."
Hadith 16408
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا سَلَّامُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مِسْكِينٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شَهْرُ بْنُ حَوْشَبٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يُوسُفَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَلَامٍ ، وَذَكَرَ حَدِيثَ المار .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Yusuf bin Abdullah that my name was given by the Prophet (ﷺ), and he seated me in his lap and passed his blessed hand over my head.
