حَدِیث سَلمَانَ بنِ عَامِر رَضِیَ اللَّه تَعَالَى عَنه
Hadith of Salman ibn ‘Amir (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith 16225
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ ، عَنِ الرَّبَابِ الضَّبِّيَّةِ ، عَنْ سَلْمَانَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الضَّبِّيِّ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " إِذَا أَفْطَرَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيُفْطِرْ عَلَى تَمْرٍ ، فَإِنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ ، فَلْيُفْطِرْ عَلَى الْمَاءِ ، فَإِنَّ الْمَاءَ طَهُورٌ " قَالَ هِشَامٌ : وَحَدَّثَنِي عَاصِمٌ الْأَحْوَلُ أَنَّ حَفْصَةَ رَفَعَتْهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .
It is narrated in a mawquf form from Sayyiduna Salman bin Amir that when any one of you breaks his fast, he should break his fast with dates. If dates are not available, then he should break his fast with water, for water is purifying.
Hadith 16226
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ ، عَنِ الرَّبَابِ ، عَنْ عَمِّهَا سَلْمَانَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الضَّبِّيِّ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " فَلْيُفْطِرْ عَلَى تَمْرٍ ، فَإِنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ ، فَلْيُفْطِرْ عَلَى مَاءٍ ، فَإِنَّهُ طَهُورٌ " . (حديث مرفوع) (حديث موقوف) " وَمَعَ الْغُلَامِ عَقِيقَتُهُ ، فَأَمِيطُوا عَنْهُ الْأَذَى ، وَأَرِيقُوا عَنْهُ دَمًا ، وَالصَّدَقَةُ عَلَى ذِي الْقَرَابَةِ ثِنْتَانِ صَدَقَةٌ وَصِلَةٌ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Salman bin Amir in a mawquf form that when any of you breaks his fast, he should break it with dates; if he does not find dates, then he should break it with water, for water is purifying. Upon the birth of a boy, perform 'aqiqah; remove impurities and sacrifice an animal on his behalf. And giving charity to close relatives has double the reward: one for charity and the other for maintaining family ties.
Hadith 16227
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَوْنٍ ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ بِنْتِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنِ الرَّبَابِ بِنْتِ صُلَيْعٍ ، عَنْ سَلْمَانَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الضَّبِّيِّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الصَّدَقَةُ عَلَى الْمِسْكِينِ صَدَقَةٌ ، وَهِيَ عَلَى ذِي الْقَرَابَةِ اثْنَتَانِ صِلَةٌ وَصَدَقَةٌ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Salman that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Spending on a poor person is a single charity, and giving charity to close relatives has a double reward—one for charity and the other for maintaining family ties.
Hadith 16228
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الْأَحْوَلِ ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ ، عَنِ الرَّبَابِ أُمِّ الرَّائِحِ ابْنَةِ صُلَيْعٍ ، عَنْ سَلْمَانَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الضَّبِّيِّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا أَفْطَرَ أَحَدُكُمْ ، فَلْيُفْطِرْ عَلَى تَمْرٍ ، فَإِنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ ، فَلْيُفْطِرْ عَلَى مَاءٍ ، فَإِنَّهُ طَهُورٌ " .

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ وَابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ . وَيَزِيدُ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ ابْنَةِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ سَلْمَانَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الضَّبِّيِّ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ؛ قَالَ ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ : أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ . وَقَالَ يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " مَعَ الْغُلَامِ عَقِيقَتُهُ ، فَأَهْرِيقُوا عَنْهُ دَمًا ، وَأَمِيطُوا عَنْهُ الْأَذَى " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Salman that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Perform 'aqiqah on the birth of a boy, remove impurities from him, and sacrifice an animal on his behalf.
Hadith 16230
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ سَلْمَانَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الضَّبِّيِّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَعَ الْغُلَامِ عَقِيقَتُهُ ، فَأَرِيقُوا عَنْهُ دَمًا ، وَأَمِيطُوا عَنْهُ الْأَذَى " .

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ ابْنَةِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنِ الرَّبَابِ ، عَنْ سَلْمَانَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا أَفْطَرَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيُفْطِرْ عَلَى تَمْرٍ ، فَإِنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ ، فَلْيُفْطِرْ بِمَاءٍ فَإِنَّ الْمَاءَ طَهُورٌ " . Hadith 16234
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَتْنِي حَفْصَةُ ، عَنْ سَلْمَانَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " مَعَ الْغُلَامِ عَقِيقَتُهُ ، فَأَهْرِيقُوا عَنْهُ دَمًا ، وَأَمِيطُوا عَنْهُ الْأَذَى " . (حديث مرفوع) (حديث موقوف) قَالَ : وَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ : " صَدَقَتُكَ عَلَى الْمِسْكِينِ صَدَقَةٌ ، وَهِيَ عَلَى ذِي الرَّحِمِ ثِنْتَانِ صَدَقَةٌ وَصِلَةٌ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Salman that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Perform ‘aqiqah on the birth of a boy, remove impurities from him, and sacrifice an animal on his behalf. And I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Giving charity to a poor person earns a single reward, and giving charity to a close relative earns a double reward—one for charity and one for maintaining family ties.
Hadith 16235

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَلَمَةَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا أَيُّوبُ ، وحَبِيبٌ ، وَيُونُسُ ، وَقَتَادَةُ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ سَلْمَانَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الضَّبِّيِّ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " فِي الْغُلَامِ عَقِيقَتُهُ ، فَأَهْرِيقُوا عَنْهُ دَمًا ، وَأَمِيطُوا عَنْهُ الْأَذَى " .

Hadith 16237
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمٌ ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ ، عَنِ الرَّبَابِ ، عَنْ سَلْمَانَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الضَّبِّيِّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا أَفْطَرَ أَحَدُكُمْ ، فَلْيُفْطِرْ عَلَى تَمْرٍ ، فَإِنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ تَمْرًا ، فَلْيُفْطِرْ عَلَى مَاءٍ ، فَإِنَّهُ لَهُ طَهُورٌ " .

Hadith 16238
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ سَلْمَانَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ ، لَمْ يَذْكُرْ أَيُّوبُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ . وَهِشَامٌ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ سَلْمَانَ رَفَعَهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " عَنِ الْغُلَامِ عَقِيقَةٌ ، فَأَهْرِيقُوا عَنْهُ دَمًا ، وَأَمِيطُوا عَنْهُ الْأَذَى " .

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، وَقَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ سَلْمَانَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الضَّبِّيِّ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " فِي الْغُلَامِ عَقِيقَتُهُ ، فَأَهْرِيقُوا عَنْهُ دَمًا ، وَأَمِيطُوا عَنْهُ الْأَذَى " .

Hadith 16240
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الوَهَّابِ بْنُ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَوْنٍ ، وَسَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ سَلْمَانَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَعَ الْغُلَامِ عَقِيقَتُهُ ، فَأَرِيقُوا عَنْهُ الدَّمَ ، وَأَمِيطُوا عَنْهُ الْأَذَى " قَالَ : وَكَانَ ابْنُ سِيرِينَ يَقُولُ : إِنْ لَمْ تَكُنْ إِمَاطَةُ الْأَذَى حَلْقَ الرَّأْسِ ، فَلَا أَدْرِي مَا هُوَ ؟ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Salman that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Perform 'aqiqah on the birth of a boy, remove impurities from him, and sacrifice an animal on his behalf.
Hadith 16241
