حَدِیث اَبِی سَرِیحَةَ الغِفَارِیِّ حذَیفَةَ بنِ اَسِید رَضِیَ اللَّه تَعَالَى عَنه
Hadith of Abu Sarihah al-Ghifari Hudhayfah ibn Asid (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith 16141
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ فُرَاتٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الطُّفَيْلِ ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ بْنِ أَسِيدٍ اطَّلَعَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَيْنَا وَنَحْنُ نَتَذَاكَرُ السَّاعَةَ ، فَقَالَ : " مَا تَذْكُرُونَ ؟ " ، قَالُوا : نَذْكُرُ السَّاعَةَ ، فَقَالَ : " إِنَّهَا لَنْ تَقُومَ حَتَّى تَرَوْنَ عَشْرَ آيَاتٍ الدُّخَانُ ، وَالدَّجَّالُ ، وَالدَّابَّةُ ، وَطُلُوعُ الشَّمْسِ مِنْ مَغْرِبِهَا ، وَنُزُولُ عِيسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ ، وَيَأْجُوجُ وَمَأْجُوجُ ، وَثَلَاثُ خُسُوفٍ خَسْفٌ بِالْمَشْرِقِ ، وَخَسْفٌ بِالْمَغْرِبِ ، وَخَسْفٌ بِجَزِيرَةِ الْعَرَبِ ، وَآخِرُ ذَلِكَ نَارٌ تَخْرُجُ مِنْ قِبَلِ تَطْرُدُ النَّاسَ إِلَى مَحْشَرِهِمْ " قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ : سَقَطَ كَلِمَةٌ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Hudhaifah bin Asid that once we were discussing the Day of Judgment when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came and asked, "What are you discussing?" We replied, "We are mentioning the Day of Judgment." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "The Day of Judgment will not be established until you see ten signs: smoke, Dajjal, the beast of the earth, the rising of the sun from the west, the descent of Sayyiduna Isa, the emergence of Gog and Magog, and three incidents of the earth sinking—one in the east, one in the west, and one in the Arabian Peninsula. And the last will be a fire which..." The narrator says that here a word is missing, "...will emerge from and will gather the people together in Sham."
Hadith 16142
(حديث قدسي) حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ أَبِي الطُّفَيْلِ ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ بْنِ أَسِيدٍ الْغِفَارِيِّ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَوْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يَدْخُلُ الْمَلَكُ عَلَى النُّطْفَةِ بَعْدَمَا تَسْتَقِرُّ فِي الرَّحِمِ بِأَرْبَعِينَ لَيْلَةً " . وَقَالَ سُفْيَانُ مَرَّةً : " أَوْ خمس وَأَرْبَعِينَ لَيْلَةً ، فَيَقُولُ : يَا رَبِّ ، مَاذَا ؟ أَشَقِيٌّ أَمْ سَعِيدٌ ؟ أَذَكَرٌ أَمْ أُنْثَى ؟ فَيَقُولُ اللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى ، فَيَكْتُبَانِ ، فَيَقُولَانِ : مَاذَا ؟ أَذَكَرٌ أَمْ أُنْثَى ؟ ، فَيَقُولُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ، فَيَكْتُبَانِ ، فَيُكْتَبُ عَمَلُهُ ، وَأَثَرُهُ ، وَمُصِيبَتُهُ ، وَرِزْقُهُ ، ثُمَّ تُطْوَى الصَّحِيفَةُ ، فَلَا يُزَادُ عَلَى مَا فِيهَا وَلَا يُنْقَصُ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: When the drop of fluid settles in the womb, after forty days an angel comes and asks, "O Lord, will this one be wretched or blessed? Will it be male or female?" Allah Almighty informs him, and he writes it down. Then its deeds, effects, calamities, and provision are also written. Then this record is rolled up, and nothing can be added to it or taken away from it.
Hadith 16143
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ فُرَاتٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الطُّفَيْلِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَرِيحَةَ قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي غُرْفَةٍ وَنَحْنُ تَحْتَهَا نَتَحَدَّثُ . قَالَ : فَأَشْرَفَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ : " مَا تَذْكُرُونَ ؟ " ، قَالُوا : السَّاعَةَ ، قَالَ : " إِنَّ السَّاعَةَ لَنْ تَقُومَ حَتَّى تَرَوْنَ عَشْرَ آيَاتٍ خَسْفٌ بِالْمَشْرِقِ ، وَخَسْفٌ بِالْمَغْرِبِ ، وَخَسْفٌ فِي جَزِيرَةِ الْعَرَبِ ، وَالدُّخَانُ ، وَالدَّجَّالُ ، وَالدَّابَّةُ ، وَطُلُوعُ الشَّمْسِ مِنْ مَغْرِبِهَا ، وَيَأْجُوجُ وَمَأْجُوجُ ، وَنَارٌ تَخْرُجُ مِنْ قَعْرِ عَدَنٍ تُرَحِّلُ النَّاسَ " . فَقَالَ شُعْبَةُ : سَمِعْتُهُ وَأَحْسِبُهُ ، قَالَ : " تَنْزِلُ مَعَهُمْ حَيْثُ نَزَلُوا ، وَتَقِيلُ مَعَهُمْ حَيْثُ قَالُوا " قَالَ شُعْبَةُ : وَحَدَّثَنِي بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ رَجُلٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي الطُّفَيْلِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَرِيحَةَ ، لَمْ يَرْفَعْهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ أَحَدُ هَذَيْنِ الرَّجُلَيْنِ : " نُزُولُ عِيسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ " ، وَقَالَ الْآخَرُ : " رِيحٌ تُلْقِيهِمْ فِي الْبَحْرِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Hudhayfah bin Asid that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was in an upper room and we were below discussing the Day of Resurrection. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) looked towards us and asked, "What are you discussing?" We replied, "We are mentioning the Day of Resurrection." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "The Hour will not be established until you see ten signs: smoke, Dajjal, the beast of the earth, the rising of the sun from the west, the descent of Sayyiduna Isa, the emergence of Gog and Magog, and three incidents of the earth sinking—one in the east, one in the west, and one in the Arabian Peninsula. And the last of them will be a fire that will emerge from the direction of the bottom of Aden and will gather the people, driving them to Sham. Wherever they camp, it will camp with them, and wherever they take a midday rest, it will rest with them."
Hadith 16144
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ فُرَاتٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الطُّفَيْلِ ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ بْنِ أَسِيدٍ الْغِفَارِيِّ ، قَالَ : أَشْرَفَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ غُرْفَةٍ وَنَحْنُ نَتَذَاكَرُ السَّاعَةَ ، فَقَالَ : " لَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى تَرَوْنَ عَشْرَ آيَاتٍ طُلُوعُ الشَّمْسِ مِنْ مَغْرِبِهَا ، وَالدُّخَانُ ، وَالدَّابَّةُ ، وَخُرُوجُ يَأْجُوجَ وَمَأْجُوجَ ، وَخُرُوجُ عِيسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ ، وَالدَّجَّالِ ، وَثَلَاثُ خُسُوفٍ خَسْفٌ بِالْمَغْرِبِ ، وَخَسْفٌ بِالْمَشْرِقِ ، وَخَسْفٌ بِجَزِيرَةِ الْعَرَبِ ، وَنَارٌ تَخْرُجُ مِنْ قَعْرِ عَدَنٍ تَسُوقُ أَوْ تَحْشُرُ النَّاسَ ، تَبِيتُ مَعَهُمْ حَيْثُ بَاتُوا ، وَتَقِيلُ مَعَهُمْ حَيْثُ قَالُوا " .

Hadith 16145
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ . وَعَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الطُّفَيْلِ ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ بْنِ أَسِيدٍ الْغِفَارِيِّ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَخْبَرَ بِمَوْتِ النَّجَاشِيِّ ، قَالَ : فَقَالَ : " صَلُّوا عَلَى أَخٍ لَكُمْ بِغَيْرِ بِلَادِكُمْ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Hudhaifah bin Asid that one day the Prophet (peace be upon him) informed us of the death of Najashi and said: "Offer the funeral prayer for your brother who has not died in your area."
Hadith 16146
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ، وَأَزْهَرُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا الْمُثَنَّى ، حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ ، عَنْ أَبِي الطُّفَيْلِ ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ بْنِ أَسِيدٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَرَجَ عَلَيْهِمْ يَوْمًا ، فَقَالَ : " صَلُّوا عَلَى صَاحِبِكُمْ مَاتَ بِغَيْرِ بِلَادِكُمْ " . قَالُوا : مَنْ هُوَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ؟ ، قَالَ : " صُحْمَةُ النَّجَاشِيُّ " ، وَقَالَ أَزْهَرُ : " صَحْمَةُ " ، وَقَالَ أَزْهَرُ : أَبِي الطُّفَيْلِ اللَّيْثِيِّ ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ بْنِ أَسِيدٍ الْغِفَارِيِّ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Hudhaifah bin Asid that one day the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) informed us of the death of Najashi and said: "Offer the funeral prayer for your brother who did not die in your land." The companions asked: "O Messenger of Allah! Who is he?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Ashamah Najashi."
Hadith 16147
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ مَوْلَى بَنِي هَاشِمٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْمُثَنَّى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ ، عَنْ أَبِي الطُّفَيْلِ ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ بْنِ أَسِيدٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جَاءَ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ ، فَقَالَ : " صَلُّوا عَلَى أَخٍ لَكُمْ مَاتَ بِغَيْرِ أَرْضِكُمْ " ، قَالُوا : مَنْ هُوَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ؟ ، قَالَ : " صُحْمَةُ النَّجَاشِيُّ " ، فَقَامُوا ، فَصَلَّوْا عَلَيْهِ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Hudhaifah bin Asid that one day the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) informed us of the death of Najashi and said: "Offer the funeral prayer for your brother who did not die in your region." The companions asked: "O Messenger of Allah! Who is he?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Ashamah Najashi."
