It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Usaid Sa'idi that on the day of the Battle of Badr, the sword of Ibn Abid came into my hands. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered the people to return whatever they had, so I brought the sword and placed it among the spoils of war. It was the blessed habit of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that if anyone asked him for something, he would not refuse. Arqam bin Abi Arqam recognized this sword and requested it from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave him that sword.

Hadith 16058
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Humayd and Abu Usaid that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When you hear a hadith from me which your hearts recognize, your hair and skin become soft, and you feel close to it, then I am more entitled to it than you. And if you hear something which your hearts do not recognize, your hair and skin do not become soft, and you feel distant from it, then I am much farther from it than you are.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Usaid that one day I was sitting with the Prophet (peace be upon him) when an Ansari man came and said, "O Messenger of Allah! Is there any good deed that I can do for my parents after they have passed away?" The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Yes, there are four things: making supplication for them, seeking forgiveness for them, fulfilling their promises, taking care of their friends, and maintaining the ties of kinship that are connected through them. After their passing, maintaining these is your responsibility as good conduct towards them."
Hadith 16060
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Usaid that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to us on the day when we confronted our enemy in the field of Badr: "When they attack you, shower them with arrows." He also probably said: "Outstrip them with your fruits."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Usaid and Sahl that once the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) passed by us with some of his companions. I also joined them until we reached a garden called Suṭ. There we sat down. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) made the companions sit to one side and entered a house, where a woman from the tribe of Jawn was brought to him. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) secluded himself with her in the house of Ummaymah bint Nu'man. That woman also had a riding animal with her. When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) approached her, he said to her, "Offer yourself to me (in marriage)." Allah forbid, she replied, "Can a queen hand herself over to a common man? I seek refuge with Allah from you." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "You have sought refuge with One who is sought for refuge." Saying this, he came out and said, "O Abu Usaid, give her two garments and send her back to her family." Some narrators have mentioned the woman's name as Aminah.

Once, Sayyiduna Abu Usaid came to the service of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and invited him to attend his wedding. On that day, his wife herself served (the guests) despite being the bride. Sayyiduna Abu Usaid asked the people, "Do you know what I gave the Prophet (peace be upon him) to drink?" I had soaked dates in a vessel overnight, and it was the water (nabidh) from those dates.
