Then, after softening it, he said: Go, bring ten men to me, of whom you will be the tenth yourself. I brought them. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: Eat, and eat from below, not from above, because blessing descends on the upper part. So all of them ate that food and were satisfied.

He asked me, “O servant of Allah, have you bought it?” I said, “Yes.” He asked, “Did they tell you everything about it?” I said, “What do you mean by everything?” He said, “This one that appears healthy and strong—tell me, do you want to travel on it or slaughter it for meat?” I said, “I want to go for Hajj on it.” He said, “Then know that there is a hole in its hoof.” At this, the owner of the she-camel said, “May Allah have mercy on your condition! Do you want to ruin my deal?” He replied, “I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) say: ‘It is not permissible for a man to sell something without disclosing its defect, and it is not lawful for one who knows of the defect not to mention it.’”

I have committed one of the limits set by Allah, so impose the punishment on me." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) turned away from him; this happened three times. After that, the prayer was established. After completing the prayer, he came again for the fourth time and repeated his statement. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) called him near and asked, "Did you not perform ablution well and join us in the prayer just now?" He said, "Why not!" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Go, for this is the expiation for your sin."

Hayan says that once I went with Sayyiduna Wathilah to Abu al-Aswad Jurashi during his illness of death. Sayyiduna Wathilah greeted him and sat down. Abu al-Aswad took his right hand and began to rub it on his eyes and face, because Sayyiduna Wathilah had pledged allegiance to the blessed hand of the Prophet (peace be upon him) with that hand. Sayyiduna Wathilah said to him, "I want to ask you something." Abu al-Aswad asked, "What is that?" He asked, "What is your opinion about your Lord?" Abu al-Aswad replied with a gesture of his head, "It is good." He said, "Then rejoice, for I heard the Prophet (peace be upon him) say: Allah Almighty says, 'I am as My servant thinks of Me. So let him think of Me as he wishes.'"
Hadith 16017
The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain of transmission.
Hadith 16018
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Wathilah that he heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: O Allah, so-and-so son of so-and-so is in Your protection and in the rope of Your neighborhood, so protect him from the trial of the grave and the punishment of Hellfire. You are the One who fulfills promises. O Allah, forgive him, have mercy on him. You are the Forgiving and the Merciful.
Hadith 16019
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Wathilah that I heard the Prophet (peace be upon him) say: The life, honor, and wealth of a Muslim are sacred to another Muslim. Every Muslim is a brother to another Muslim; he does not oppress him nor does he abandon him. Taqwa is here—saying this, the Prophet (peace be upon him) pointed towards his heart. And then he said: It is enough evil for a person to consider his Muslim brother insignificant.
