حَدِيثُ رَجُلٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ
Hadith of a man (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith 15941
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ مَوْلَى بَنِي هَاشِمٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا السَّائِبُ بْنُ حُبَيْشٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الشَّمَّاخِ الْأَزْدِيِّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَمٍّ لَهُ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنَّهُ أَتَى مُعَاوِيَةَ ، فَدَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ ، وَقَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " مَنْ وَلِيَ أَمْرَ النَّاسِ ، ثُمَّ أَغْلَقَ بَابَهُ دُونَ الْمِسْكِينِ ، أَوْ الْمَظْلُومِ ، أَوْ ذِي الْحَاجَةِ ، أَغْلَقَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ دُونَهُ أَبْوَابَ رَحْمَتِهِ عِنْدَ حَاجَتِهِ وَفَقْرِهِ أَفْقَرَ مَا يَكُونُ إِلَيْهَا " .
Once, a companion came to Sayyiduna Amir Muawiyah and said, "I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Whoever becomes a ruler over people in any matter and keeps his doors closed to a poor, oppressed, or needy person, Allah will keep the doors of His mercy closed to him at the time of his need and distress, which will be even more severe."
