Hadith 15926
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي النَّضْرِ ، عَنْ زُرْعَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ جَرْهَدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَرَّ بِهِ وَهُوَ كَاشِفٌ عَنْ فَخِذِهِ ، فَقَالَ : " أَمَا عَلِمْتَ أَنَّ الْفَخِذَ عَوْرَةٌ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jarid that once he was sitting with his thigh uncovered. The Prophet (ﷺ) passed by and the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Do you not know that the thigh is 'awrah (part of the body that must be covered)?
Hadith 15927
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ أَبِي النَّضْرِ ، عَنْ زُرْعَةَ بْنِ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ جَرْهَدٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَأَى جَرْهَدًا فِي الْمَسْجِدِ وَعَلَيْهِ بُرْدَةٌ قَدْ انْكَشَفَ فَخِذُهُ ، فَقَالَ : " الْفَخِذُ عَوْرَةٌ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jarid that once he was sitting with his thigh uncovered. The Prophet (ﷺ) passed by and the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Do you not know that the thigh is 'awrah (part of the body that must be covered)?
Hadith 15928
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزِّنَادِ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي آلُ جَرْهَدٍ ، عَنْ جَرْهَدٍ ، قَالَ : " الْفَخِذُ عَوْرَةٌ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jarhad that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The thigh is part of the 'awrah (private area to be covered).
Hadith 15929
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ جَرْهَدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : مَرَّ بِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَنَا كَاشِفٌ فَخِذِي ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " غَطِّهَا فَإِنَّهَا مِنَ الْعَوْرَةِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jarid that once he was sitting with his thigh uncovered. The Prophet (ﷺ) passed by and the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Cover it, for the thigh is 'awrah (a part that must be covered).
Hadith 15930
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ جَرْهَدٍ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَاهُ جَرْهَدًا ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " فَخِذُ الْمَرْءِ الْمُسْلِمِ عَوْرَةٌ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jarhad that on one occasion the Prophet (ﷺ) said: The thigh of a Muslim is part of the 'awrah (private parts to be covered).
Hadith 15931
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عِيسَى ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي النَّضْرِ ، عَنْ زُرْعَةَ بْنِ جَرْهَدٍ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَكَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ الصُّفَّةِ , قَالَ : جَلَسَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَرَأَى فَخِذِي مُنْكَشِفَةً ، فَقَالَ : " خَمِّرْ عَلَيْكَ ، أَمَا عَلِمْتَ أَنَّ الْفَخِذَ عَوْرَةٌ ؟ " .

Hadith 15932
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ زُرْعَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ جَرْهَدٍ ، عَنْ جَرْهَدٍ جَدِّهِ , وَنَفَرٍ مِنْ أَسْلَمَ سِوَاهُ ذَوِي رِضًا ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَرَّ عَلَى جَرْهَدٍ ، وَفَخِذُ جَرْهَدٍ مَكْشُوفَةٌ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يَا جَرْهَدُ غَطِّ فَخِذَكَ , فَإِنَّ يَا جَرْهَدُ الْفَخِذَ عَوْرَةٌ " .

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الزِّنَادِ ، عَنْ زُرْعَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ جَرْهَدٍ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ جَرْهَدٍ ، قَالَ : مَرَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَعَلَيَّ بُرْدَةٌ وَقَدْ انْكَشَفَتْ فَخِذِي ، قَالَ : " غَطِّ فَإِنَّ الْفَخْذَ عَوْرَةٌ " .
