حَدِيثُ كُرْزِ بْنِ عَلْقَمَةَ الْخُزَاعِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ
Hadith of Karz ibn Alqamah al-Khuza'i (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith 15917
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ كُرْزِ بْنِ عَلْقَمَةَ الْخُزَاعِيِّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَجُلٌ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، هَلْ لِلْإِسْلَامِ مِنْ مُنْتَهَى ؟ قَالَ : " أَيُّمَا أَهْلِ بَيْتٍ " ، وَقَالَ فِي مَوْضِعٍ آخَرَ ، قَالَ : " نَعَمْ ، أَيُّمَا أَهْلِ بَيْتٍ مِنَ الْعَرَبِ أَوْ الْعُجْمِ أَرَادَ اللَّهُ بِهِمْ خَيْرًا ، أَدْخَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ الْإِسْلَامَ " , قَالَ : ثُمَّ مَهْ , قَالَ : " ثُمَّ تَقَعُ الْفِتَنُ كَأَنَّهَا الظُّلَلُ " ، قَالَ : كَلَّا وَاللَّهِ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ , قَالَ : " بَلَى وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ ، ثُمَّ تَعُودُونَ فِيهَا أَسَاوِدَ صُبًّا يَضْرِبُ بَعْضُكُمْ رِقَابَ بَعْضٍ " . وَقَرَئ عَلَيَّ سُفْيَانُ : قَالَ الزُّهْرِيُّ : أَسَاوِدَ صُبًّا ؟ قَالَ سُفْيَانُ : الْحَيَّةُ السَّوْدَاءُ تُنْصَبُ ، أَيْ : تَرْتَفِعُ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Karz bin Alqamah that a man asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), "Is there any limit to Islam?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: "Yes, when Allah intends good for any household among the Arabs and non-Arabs, He will admit them into Islam." The narrator asked, "Then what will happen?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "After that, tribulations will spread like canopies." The questioner said, "By the will of Allah, this will never happen." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Why not? By the One in Whose hand is my soul, then you will begin to strike each other's necks like black snakes."
Hadith 15918
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ كُرْزِ بْنِ عَلْقَمَةَ الْخُزَاعِيِّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، هَلْ لِلْإِسْلَامِ مِنْ مُنْتَهَى ؟ قَالَ : " نَعَمْ ، أَيُّمَا أَهْلِ بَيْتٍ مِنَ الْعَرَبِ أَوْ الْعُجْمِ أَرَادَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ بِهِمْ خَيْرًا أَدْخَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ الْإِسْلَامَ " ، قَالَ : ثُمَّ مَاذَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ؟ قَالَ : " ثُمَّ تَقَعُ فِتَنٌ كَأَنَّهَا الظُّلَلُ " , فَقَالَ الْأَعْرَابِيُّ : كَلَّا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ , قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " بَلَى وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ ، لَتَعُودُنَّ فِيهَا أَسَاوِدَ صُبًّا يَضْرِبُ بَعْضُكُمْ رِقَابَ بَعْضٍ " .

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ قَيْسٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عُرْوَةُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ كُرْزٍ الْخُزَاعِيِّ ، قَالَ : أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، هَلْ لِهَذَا الْأَمْرِ مِنْ مُنْتَهَى ؟ قَالَ : " نَعَمْ ، فَمَنْ أَرَادَ اللَّهُ بِهِ خَيْرًا مِنْ أَعْجَمٍ أَوْ عُرْبٍ أَدْخَلَهُ عَلَيْهِمْ ، ثُمَّ تَقَعُ فِتَنٌ كَالظُّلَلِ ، تَعُودُونَ فِيهَا أَسَاوِدَ صُبًّا يَضْرِبُ بَعْضُكُمْ رِقَابَ بَعْضٍ ، وَأَفْضَلُ النَّاسِ يَوْمَئِذٍ ، مُؤْمِنٌ مُعْتَزِلٌ فِي شِعْبٍ مِنَ الشِّعَابِ ، يَتَّقِي رَبَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى ، وَيَدَعُ النَّاسَ مِنْ شَرِّهِ " .

Hadith 15919
قَالَ أَبِي : وحَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُصْعَبٍ الْقُرْقُسَانِيُّ بِمِثْلَ حَدِيثِ ابْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ : كُرْزُ بْنُ حُبَيْشٍ الْخُزَاعِيُّ .
The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain of transmission.
