حَدِيثُ أَبِي رَوْحٍ الْكَلَاعِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ
Hadith of Abu Ruh al-Kila'i (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith 15872
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، عَنْ شَرِيكٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي رَوْحٍ الْكَلَاعِيِّ ، قَالَ : صَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَاةً ، فَقَرَأَ فِيهَا سُورَةَ الرُّومِ ، فَلَبَسَ عَلَيْهِ بَعْضُهَا ، فَقَالَ : " إِنَّمَا لَبَسَ عَلَيْنَا الشَّيْطَانُ الْقِرَاءَةَ مِنْ أَجْلِ أَقْوَامٍ يَأْتُونَ الصَّلَاةَ بِغَيْرِ وُضُوءٍ ، فَإِذَا أَتَيْتُمْ الصَّلَاةَ فَأَحْسِنُوا الْوُضُوءَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Ruh that once the Prophet (peace be upon him) led us in a prayer in which he recited Surah Ar-Rum. During the recitation, some confusion occurred to him. After the prayer, the Prophet (peace be upon him) said that Satan caused us confusion during the recitation because of those people who come to prayer without ablution. Therefore, when you come for prayer, perform ablution thoroughly.
Hadith 15873
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ شَبِيبًا أَبَا رَوْحٍ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنَّهُ صَلَّى الصُّبْحَ ، فَقَرَأَ فِيهَا الرُّومَ ، فَأَوْهَمَ ، فَذَكَرَهُ .
The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain of transmission.
Hadith 15874
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ مَوْلَى بَنِي هَاشِمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عُمَيْرٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ شَبِيبًا أَبَا رَوْحٍ مِنْ ذِي الْكَلَاعِ , أَنَّهُ صَلَّى مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الصُّبْحَ فَقَرَأَ بِالرُّومِ ، فَتَرَدَّدَ فِي آيَةٍ ، فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ ، قَالَ : " إِنَّهُ يَلْبِسُ عَلَيْنَا الْقُرْآنَ أَنَّ أَقْوَامًا مِنْكُمْ يُصَلُّونَ مَعَنَا لَا يُحْسِنُونَ الْوُضُوءَ ، فَمَنْ شَهِدَ الصَّلَاةَ مَعَنَا فَلْيُحْسِنْ الْوُضُوءَ " .
