حَدِيثُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَدْعَاءِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ
Hadith of Abdullah ibn Abi al-Jad'a' (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith 15857
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ ، قَالَ : جَلَسْتُ إِلَى رَهْطٍ أَنَا رَابِعُهُمْ بِإِيلِيَاءَ ، فَقَالَ أَحَدُهُمْ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " لَيَدْخُلَنَّ الْجَنَّةَ بِشَفَاعَةِ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أُمَّتِي أَكْثَرُ مِنْ بَنِي تَمِيمٍ " ، قُلْنَا : سِوَاكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ؟ قَالَ : " سِوَايَ " . قُلْتُ : آنْتَ سَمِعْتَهُ ؟ قَالَ : نَعَمْ , فَلَمَّا قَامَ ، قُلْتُ : مَنْ هَذَا ؟ قَالُوا : ابْنُ أَبِي الْجَذْعَاءِ .
Abdullah bin Shaqiq says that once I was sitting in Ilya with a group among whom I was the fourth person. During this, one of them started saying that I heard the Prophet (peace be upon him) say: "Because of the intercession of one man from my Ummah, more people will enter Paradise than the number of Banu Tamim." We asked: "O Messenger of Allah! Will this intercession be other than your intercession?" The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Yes, it will be other than mine." I asked them, "Did you really hear this hadith from the Prophet (peace be upon him)?" They said, "Yes." When they stood up from the gathering, I asked the people, "Who is this?" They said, "This is our master Abdullah bin Abi Jud'an."
Hadith 15858
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَدْعَاءِ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " لَيَدْخُلَنَّ الْجَنَّةَ بِشَفَاعَةِ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أُمَّتِي أَكْثَرُ مِنْ بَنِي تَمِيمٍ " ، فَقَالُوا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، سِوَاكَ ؟ قَالَ : " سِوَايَ سِوَايَ " ، قُلْتُ : آنْتَ سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ؟ قَالَ : أَنَا سَمِعْتُهُ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Jud’an says: I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) saying that because of the intercession of one man from my Ummah, more people will enter Paradise than the number of Banu Tamim.
