Hadith of Sa'id ibn Hurayth, the brother of 'Amr ibn Hurayth (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith 15842
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُهَاجِرٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ حُرَيْثٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَخِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ حُرَيْثٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " مَنْ بَاعَ عَقَارًا كَانَ قَمِنًا أَنْ لَا يُبَارَكَ لَهُ إِلَّا أَنْ يَجْعَلَهُ فِي مِثْلِهِ أَوْ غَيْرِهِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Saeed bin Hareeth that I heard the Prophet (peace be upon him) say: Whoever sells his property is deserving that there be no blessing in his wealth, except if he invests it in the same work or buys another property.
