Hadith 15740
Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Aqil narrates that Sayyiduna Aqil bin Abi Talib got married, and after the first night when he came out, we said to him, "May there be harmony between you both, and may this marriage be a means of offspring." He replied, "Stop, do not say this, because the Prophet (peace be upon him) forbade us from saying this and said, 'Say like this: May Allah bless it for you, grant you blessings, and shower abundant blessings upon you in this marriage.'"

Hasan says that Sayyiduna Aqil bin Abi Talib married a woman from Banu Jashm. People came to congratulate him and began to say, "There will be harmony between you both and this marriage will be a means of children." He said: "Stop, do not say this." The people asked, "O Abu Yazid, then what should we say?" He said: "Say like this: May Allah bless it for you, grant you blessings, and shower abundant blessings upon you in this marriage. We were commanded to say only this."
