Hadith 15736
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Rawahah that once he returned from a journey at night and proceeded towards his wife. When he reached home, a lamp was burning there and someone was with his wife. He picked up his sword. Seeing this, his wife said, "Wait, this is such-and-such woman who is helping me with my adornment." He went to the Prophet (ﷺ) and informed him of the incident. The Prophet (ﷺ) then forbade anyone from returning to his house at night suddenly and without prior notice.
Hadith 15737

Sanan bin Abi Sinan says that once I heard Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) saying during a sermon while standing that your brother, that is, Ibn Rawahah, does not compose frivolous poetry. These verses were composed by him: Among us is Allah’s Messenger who recites to us Allah’s Book; when the bright morning separates from the darkness of night. He spends the night in such a way that his side remains away from the bed, while the disbelievers are weighed down on their beds. After misguidance, he showed us the path of guidance, and now our hearts are certain that whatever he says will surely come to pass.
