حَدِیث رَجل مِن اَصحَابِ النَّبِیِّ صَلَّى اللَّه عَلَیهِ وَسَلَّمَ
Hadith of a man from the companions of the Prophet (peace be upon him)
Hadith 15651
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو , وَأَبُو سَعِيدٍ , قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا السَّائِبُ بْنُ حُبَيْشٍ الكَلَاعِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِي الشَّمَّاخِ الْأَزْدِيِّ , عَنِ ابْنِ عَمٍّ لَهُ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , أَتَى مُعَاوِيَةَ ، فَدَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ ، فَقَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " مَنْ وَلِيَ أَمْرًا مِنْ أَمْرِ النَّاسِ ، ثُمَّ أَغْلَقَ بَابَهُ دُونَ الْمِسْكِينِ وَالْمَظْلُومِ أَوْ ذِي الْحَاجَةِ ، أَغْلَقَ اللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى دُونَهُ أَبْوَابَ رَحْمَتِهِ عِنْدَ حَاجَتِهِ وَفَقْرِهِ أَفْقَرُ مَا يَكُونُ إِلَيْهَا " .
Once, a companion came to Sayyiduna Amir Muawiyah and said, "I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Whoever becomes a ruler over any matter and keeps his doors closed to a poor person, an oppressed person, or a needy person, Allah will keep the doors of His mercy closed to him at the time of his need and distress, which will be even more severe."
