Hadith of Abu Burdah ibn Qays, the brother of Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith 15608
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمٌ الْأَحْوَلُ ، حَدَّثَنَا كُرَيْبُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ أَبِي مُوسَى , عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ أَخِي أَبِي مُوسَى الْأَشْعَرِيِّ , قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ فَنَاءَ أُمَّتِي فِي سَبِيلِكَ بِالطَّعْنِ وَالطَّاعُونِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Burdah bin Qais, who is the brother of Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash'ari, that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: O Allah, decree the death of my Ummah in Your path by spears and in the state of plague.
