It is narrated from Sayyiduna Nasr bin Dahar that one of our companions, Ma'iz bin Malik, came to the presence of the Prophet (ﷺ) and confessed to committing adultery regarding himself. The Prophet (ﷺ) ordered us to stone him, so we took him to Harrah Banu Niyah and began to stone him. When we started stoning him, he felt the pain. When we finished with him and returned to the Prophet (ﷺ), we mentioned his distress to the Prophet (ﷺ). The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Why did you not leave him?"

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Nasr bin Dahar that while going towards Khaybar, he heard Amir bin Akwa’, who was the uncle of Salamah bin Umrah and whose real name was Sinan, reciting poetry to the Prophet (ﷺ). The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Amir, dismount from your ride and recite for us some of your Huda poetry." So he dismounted and began to recite these verses: "By Allah, if it were not for Allah, we would not have been guided, nor would we have given charity or performed prayer. We are those people that when a nation rebels against us and intends mischief and corruption, we reject it. O Allah, send down tranquility upon us, and if we encounter the enemy, grant us steadfastness."
