It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Yasar that, by Allah, we were in Khaybar that evening with the Prophet (ﷺ) when a flock of goats belonging to a Jew wanted to enter the fortress, and we had laid siege to it. At that moment, the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Who will feed us from these goats?" I offered myself, and the Prophet (ﷺ) gave me permission. I rushed out swiftly, and when the Prophet (ﷺ) saw me going, he said, "O Allah, grant us benefit through him." When I reached the flock, its front part had already entered the fortress. I caught two goats from the rear, held them under my hands, and brought them running in such a way as if there was nothing in my hands, until I placed them before the Prophet (ﷺ). The companions slaughtered them and everyone ate from them. Sayyiduna Abu Yasar was the last to pass away among the companions of the Prophet (ﷺ), and whenever he narrated this hadith, he would weep and say, "Benefit from me, by Allah, I am the last person of this group."
