Hadith 15492
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah Zarqi that when the polytheists were defeated and fled on the day of the Battle of Uhud, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to the companions: "Stand straight so that I may praise my Lord." So they all lined up behind the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Allah, all praise is for You alone. Whomever You grant abundance, none can restrict, and whomever You restrict, none can grant abundance. Whomever You lead astray, none can guide, and whomever You guide, none can lead astray. Whatever You withhold from someone, none can give, and whatever You do not give, none can give. Whomever You distance, none can bring near, and whomever You bring near, none can distance. Bestow upon us Your mercies, blessings, grace, generosity, and abundant provision. O Allah, I ask You for those lasting blessings which neither turn away nor vanish. O Allah, I ask You for blessings on the day of poverty and security on the day of fear. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the evil of that which You have given us or withheld from us. O Allah, make faith beloved to us in our eyes and adorn it in our hearts, and grant us aversion to disbelief, wickedness, and disobedience, and count us among the rightly guided. O Allah, grant us death in the state of Islam, keep us alive in the state of Islam, and include us among the righteous in such a way that we are neither disgraced nor fall into any trial. O Allah, bring those disbelievers to their just end who deny Your messengers and hinder from Your path, and impose Your punishment upon them. O Allah, O True Deity, bring those disbelievers to their just end who were given the Book before."
