حَدِیث الحَارِثِ بنِ عَبدِ اللَّهِ بنِ اَوس رَضِیَ اللَّه تَعَالَى عَنه
Hadith of al-Harith ibn Abdullah ibn Aws (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith 15440
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ , وَعَفَّانُ , قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَوْسٍ الثَّقَفِيِّ ، قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ عَنِ الْمَرْأَةِ تَطُوفُ بِالْبَيْتِ ، ثُمَّ تَحِيضُ ، قَالَ : لِيَكُنْ آخِرَ عَهْدِهَا الطَّوَافُ بِالْبَيْتِ ، فَقَالَ الْحَارِثُ كَذَلِكَ أَفْتَانِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , فَقَالَ عُمَرُ : أَرِبْتَ عَنْ يَدَيْكَ ، سَأَلْتَنِي عَنْ شَيْءٍ ، سَأَلْتُ عَنْهُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، لَكِنِّي مَا أُخَالِفُ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Harith bin Abdullah that I asked Sayyiduna Umar about the ruling of a woman who was performing Tawaf of the Ka'bah and then her menstruation began. He replied that her last act should be the Tawaf of the Ka'bah. Sayyiduna Harith said that the Prophet (peace be upon him) had informed me of this very issue. Sayyiduna Umar rebuked him harshly and said, "You are asking me about something regarding which you have already asked the Prophet (peace be upon him), but I cannot go against the instruction of the Prophet (peace be upon him)."
Hadith 15441
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَجَّاجِ , وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ , قَالَا : أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَجَّاجُ بْنُ أَرْطَاةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْبَيْلَمَانِيِّ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ أَوْسٍ , قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ حَجَّ الْبَيْتَ أَوْ اعْتَمَرَ ، فَلْيَكُنْ آخِرُ عَهْدِهِ بِالْبَيْتِ " , فَبَلَغَ حَدِيثُهُ عُمَرَ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ : خَرَرْتَ مِنْ يَدِكَ ، سَمِعْتَ هَذَا مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَلَمْ تُخْبِرْنَا بِهِ ؟ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Harith bin Abdullah that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever performs Hajj or Umrah of the House of Allah, his last act should be the circumambulation (Tawaf) of the House of Allah. When Sayyiduna Umar came to know of this hadith of his, he reproached him severely and said: You heard this hadith from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and yet you did not inform us.
Hadith 15442
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا عَبَّادٌ ، عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ بْنِ أَرْطَاةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْبَيْلَمَانِيِّ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ أَوْسٍ ، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ أَوْسٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ حَجَّ أَوْ اعْتَمَرَ ، فَلْيَكُنْ آخِرَ عَهْدِهِ الطَّوَافُ بِالْبَيْتِ " , فَقَالَ لَهُ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ : خَرَرْتَ مِنْ يَدَيْكَ ، سَمِعْتَ هَذَا مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، ثُمَّ لَمْ تُحَدِّثْنِي ؟ ! .
