It is narrated that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Sa’ib was the guide of Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas. He would bring him and make him stand in the third row near the Black Stone in front of the door of the Ka’bah. Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas would ask him whether the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to stand or pray here. When he replied in the affirmative, Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas would stand there and pray.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Sa’ib (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed on the day of the conquest of Makkah, he took off his sandals and placed them on his left side.

But when he reached the mention of Sayyiduna Musa and Harun, he began to cough, so he shortened the recitation and went into bowing (ruku’).
