(حديث مرفوع) أَنْبَأَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُذْهِبِ الْوَاعِظُ ، قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ حِمْدَانَ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قِرَاءَةً عَلَيْهِ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ عَبْد اللَّهِ بْن أَحْمَد بْن مُحَمَّد بْن حَنْبَلٍ , حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي مِنْ كِتَابِهِ .
(Marfu' hadith) Abu Ali al-Hasan ibn Ali ibn Muhammad ibn al-Mudhhib al-Wa'iz informed us, he said: Abu Bakr Ahmad ibn Ja'far ibn Himdan ibn Malik informed us, reading to him, Abu Abd al-Rahman Abd Allah ibn Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Hanbal narrated to us, my father narrated to me from his book.

Hadith 1838
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، أَنْبَأَنَا عَاصِمٌ الْأَحْوَلُ ، وَمُغِيرَةُ ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، , أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " شَرِبَ مِنْ زَمْزَمَ وَهُوَ قَائِمٌ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) drank Zamzam water while standing.

Hadith 1839
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، أَنْبَأَنَا أَجْلَحُ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ الْأَصَمِّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَالَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ وَشِئْتَ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَجَعَلْتَنِي وَاللَّهَ عَدْلًا ؟ بَلْ مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that a man said to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Whatever Allah wills and whatever you will." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Are you making me equal to Allah? Rather say: Whatever Allah alone wills."

Hadith 1840
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ " مَسَحَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَأْسِي وَدَعَا لِي بِالْحِكْمَةِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed his hand over my head and prayed for wisdom and understanding for me.

Hadith 1841
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي زِيَادٍ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ , أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ طَافَ بِالْبَيْتِ وَهُوَ عَلَى بَعِيرِهِ ، وَاسْتَلَمَ الْحَجَرَ بِمِحْجَنٍ كَانَ مَعَهُ ، قَالَ : وَأَتَى السِّقَايَةَ ، فَقَالَ : " اسْقُونِي " ، فَقَالُوا : إِنَّ هَذَا يَخُوضُهُ النَّاسُ ، وَلَكِنَّا نَأْتِيكَ بِهِ مِنَ الْبَيْتِ ، فَقَالَ : " لَا حَاجَةَ لِي فِيهِ ، اسْقُونِي مِمَّا يَشْرَبُ مِنْهُ النَّاسُ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed Tawaf while riding his camel and touched the Black Stone with a stick that he had with him. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to a well and said: "Give me water to drink." The people said: "People descend into this well; we will bring you water from the House of Allah." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is no need for that; give me water from the same place where ordinary people drink from."

Hadith 1842
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَيْسَ الْخَبَرُ كَالْمُعَايَنَةِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Heard information is not like direct observation."

Hadith 1843
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بِشْرٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : بِتُّ لَيْلَةً عِنْدَ خَالَتِي مَيْمُونَةَ بِنْتِ الْحَارِثِ ، وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عِنْدَهَا فِي لَيْلَتِهَا ، " فَقَامَ يُصَلِّي مِنَ اللَّيْلِ ، فَقُمْتُ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ لِأُصَلِّيَ بِصَلَاتِهِ ، قَالَ : فَأَخَذَ بِذُؤَابَةٍ كَانَتْ لِي ، أَوْ بِرَأْسِي حَتَّى جَعَلَنِي عَنْ يَمِينِهِ " .
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that once I stayed the night at the house of my maternal aunt, Umm al-Mu'mineen Sayyidah Maymunah bint Harith (may Allah be pleased with her). That night, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was also staying there. During the night, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood up to pray, so I also stood on his left side to join the prayer. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took hold of a lock of my hair and moved me to his right side.

Hadith 1844
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، أَنْبَأَنَا خَالِدٌ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : لَمَّا خُيِّرَتْ بَرِيرَةُ ، رَأَيْتُ زَوْجَهَا يَتْبَعُهَا فِي سِكَكِ الْمَدِينَةِ ، وَدُمُوعُهُ تَسِيلُ عَلَى لِحْيَتِهِ ، فَكُلِّمَ الْعَبَّاسُ لِيُكَلِّمَ فِيهِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِبَرِيرَةَ : " إِنَّهُ زَوْجُكِ " , فَقَالَتْ : تَأْمُرُنِي بِهِ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ؟ قَالَ : " إِنَّمَا أَنَا شَافِعٌ " ، قَالَ : فَخَيَّرَهَا فَاخْتَارَتْ نَفْسَهَا ، وَكَانَ عَبْدًا لِآلِ الْمُغِيرَةِ يُقَالُ لَهُ : مُغِيثٌ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that when Sayyidah Barirah (may Allah be pleased with her) was given the option of emancipation (and according to that, she separated from her husband Mughith), I saw her husband following her in the streets of Madinah, his tears flowing down his beard. People asked Sayyiduna Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) to speak to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about this matter. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Sayyidah Barirah (may Allah be pleased with her), "He is your husband." Sayyidah Barirah (may Allah be pleased with her) asked, "O Messenger of Allah! Are you commanding me regarding him?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied, "I am only interceding," and he gave her the choice, so she chose herself. The husband of Sayyidah Barirah (may Allah be pleased with her) was a slave of the family of Mughira, whose name was Mughith.

Hadith 1845
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ , عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سُئِلَ عَنْ ذَرَارِيِّ الْمُشْرِكِينَ ، فَقَالَ : " اللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا كَانُوا عَامِلِينَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about the children of the polytheists, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah knows best what deeds they would have done when they grew up."

Hadith 1846
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ يُوسُفَ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : " قُبِضَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ ابْنُ خَمْسٍ وَسِتِّينَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that at the time of the passing of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), his blessed age was 65 years.

Hadith 1847
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، أَنْبَأَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : " الطَّعَامُ الَّذِي نَهَى عَنْهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يُبَاعَ حَتَّى يُقْبَضَ " ، قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ : وَأَحْسَبُ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ مِثْلَهُ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade selling grain before taking possession of it. In my opinion, this applies to everything.

Hadith 1848
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، أَنْبَأَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : خَطَبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , وَقَالَ : " إِذَا لَمْ يَجِدْ الْمُحْرِمُ إِزَارًا فَلْيَلْبَسْ السَّرَاوِيلَ ، وَإِذَا لَمْ يَجِدْ النَّعْلَيْنِ فَلْيَلْبَسْ الْخُفَّيْنِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said while delivering a sermon: "When one does not find an izar (lower garment) to tie as a waist-wrapper in ihram, he should wear trousers, and if he does not find shoes, he should wear socks."

Hadith 1849
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي زِيَادٍ ، عَنْ مِقْسَمٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ , أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " احْتَجَمَ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ صَائِمٌ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had cupping done and blood was drawn, while he was in the state of ihram and was also fasting.

Hadith 1850
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، أَنْبَأَنَا أَبُو بِشْرٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا كَانَ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَوَقَصَتْهُ نَاقَتُهُ ، وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ فَمَاتَ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " اغْسِلُوهُ بِمَاءٍ وَسِدْرٍ ، وَكَفِّنُوهُ فِي ثَوْبَيْهِ ، وَلَا تَمَسُّوهُ بِطِيبٍ ، وَلَا تُخَمِّرُوا رَأْسَهُ ، فَإِنَّهُ يُبْعَثُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مُلَبِّيًا " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that a man was participating in Hajj with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). While in the state of Ihram, he fell from his camel, his neck broke, and he died. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Bathe him with water mixed with lote tree leaves, shroud him in his two Ihram garments, do not apply perfume to him, and do not cover his head, for he will be raised on the Day of Resurrection reciting the Talbiyah."

Hadith 1851
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَوْفٌ ، عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ غَدَاةَ جَمْعٍ : " هَلُمَّ الْقُطْ لِي " , فَلَقَطْتُ لَهُ حَصَيَاتٍ ، هُنْ حَصَى الْخَذْفِ ، فَلَمَّا وَضَعَهُنَّ فِي يَدِهِ ، قَالَ : " نَعَمْ ، بِأَمْثَالِ هَؤُلَاءِ وَإِيَّاكُمْ وَالْغُلُوَّ فِي الدِّينِ ، فَإِنَّمَا هَلَكَ مَنْ كَانَ قَبْلَكُمْ بِالْغُلُوِّ فِي الدِّينِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me on the morning of Muzdalifah: "Come here and pick up pebbles for me." I picked up some pebbles that were like date stones. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took them in his hand and said: "Yes! Pebbles should be like this. Beware of exaggeration in religion, for those before you were destroyed because of exaggeration in religion."

Hadith 1852
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " سَافَرَ مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ لَا يَخَافُ إِلَّا اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ، فَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ حَتَّى رَجَعَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) traveled from Madinah Munawwarah. He did not fear anyone except Allah, yet even so, until he returned, he performed the prayer as two rak‘ahs (shortened the prayer).

Hadith 1853
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، أَنْبَأَنَا أَبُو بِشْرٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُتَوَارٍ بِمَكَّةَ ، وَلا تَجْهَرْ بِصَلاتِكَ وَلا تُخَافِتْ بِهَا سورة الإسراء آية 110 , قَالَ : وَكَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " إِذَا صَلَّى بِأَصْحَابِهِ ، رَفَعَ صَوْتَهُ بِالْقُرْآنِ ، فَلَمَّا سَمِعَ ذَلِكَ الْمُشْرِكُونَ ، سَبُّوا الْقُرْآنَ وَسَبُّوا مَنْ أَنْزَلَهُ وَمَنْ جَاءَ بِهِ ، قَالَ : فَقَالَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لِنَبِيِّهِ وَلا تَجْهَرْ بِصَلاتِكَ سورة الإسراء آية 110 أَيْ بِقِرَاءَتِكَ ، فَيَسْمَعَ الْمُشْرِكُونَ ، فَيَسُبُّوا الْقُرْآنَ وَلا تُخَافِتْ بِهَا سورة الإسراء آية 110 عَنْ أَصْحَابِكَ ، فَلَا تُسْمِعُهُمْ الْقُرْآنَ حَتَّى يَأْخُذُوهُ عَنْكَ وَابْتَغِ بَيْنَ ذَلِكَ سَبِيلا سورة الإسراء آية 110 .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that when the Qur’anic verse: «﴿وَلَا تَجْهَرْ بِصَلَاتِكَ وَلَا تُخَافِتْ بِهَا﴾ [الإسراء: 110]» was revealed, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was in concealment in Makkah Mukarramah. He also says that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to lead his companions in prayer, he would recite the Qur’an aloud. When the polytheists heard that voice, they would begin to speak ill of the Qur’an, the One who revealed the Qur’an, and the one who brought the Qur’an. On this occasion, this verse was revealed: Do not recite so loudly that the polytheists hear it and begin to speak ill of the Qur’an, nor recite so quietly that your companions cannot hear it; rather, choose a middle course.

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، أَنْبَأَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ أَبِي هِنْدٍ ، عَنِ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَرَّ بِوَادِي الْأَزْرَقِ ، فَقَالَ : " أَيُّ وَادٍ هَذَا ؟ " ، قَالُوا : هَذَا وَادِي الْأَزْرَقِ ، فَقَالَ : " كَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى مُوسَى عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام وَهُوَ هَابِطٌ مِنَ الثَّنِيَّةِ وَلَهُ جُؤَارٌ إِلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ بِالتَّلْبِيَةِ " ، حَتَّى أَتَى عَلَى ثَنِيَّةِ هَرْشَى ، فَقَالَ : " أَيُّ ثَنِيَّةٍ هَذِهِ ؟ " , قَالُوا : ثَنِيَّةُ هَرْشَى ، قَالَ : " كَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى يُونُسَ بْنِ مَتَّى عَلَى نَاقَةٍ حَمْرَاءَ جَعْدَةٍ ، عَلَيْهِ جُبَّةٌ مِنْ صُوفٍ ، خِطَامُ نَاقَتِهِ خُلْبَةٌ ، قَالَ هُشَيْمٌ : يَعْنِي لِيفً ، وَهُوَ يُلَبِّي " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by the valley of Azraq. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, "Which valley is this?" The people replied, "This is the valley of Azraq." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "It is as if I am seeing Musa (peace be upon him) descending from the mound and loudly reciting the Talbiyah." When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) reached a place called Thaniyyah Harsha, he asked, "What is the name of this mound?" The people replied, "Its name is Thaniyyah Harsha." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Here it seems to me as if I am seeing Yunus (peace be upon him) riding a red, curly-haired she-camel. He is wearing a woolen cloak, the reins of his she-camel are made from the bark of a date-palm tree, and he is reciting the Talbiyah."

Hadith 1855
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، أَنْبَأَنَا أَصْحَابُنَا مِنْهُمْ شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي حَسَّانَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " أَشْعَرَ بَدَنَتَهُ مِنَ الْجَانِبِ الْأَيْمَنِ ، ثُمَّ سَلَتَ الدَّمَ عَنْهَا ، وَقَلَّدَهَا بنَعْلَيْنِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) drew blood from the right side of his she-camel and applied it on her, then he cleaned that blood and hung sandals around her neck.

Hadith 1856
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، أَنْبَأَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي زِيَادٍ ، عَنْ مِقْسَمٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنَّ الصَّعْبَ بْنَ جَثَّامَةَ الْأَسْدِيَّ أَهْدَى إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رِجْلَ حِمَارِ وَحْشٍ ، وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ فَرَدَّهُ ، وَقَالَ : " إِنَّا مُحْرِمُونَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that once Hazrat Sa'b bin Jaththamah Asadi presented the leg of a wild donkey to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). At that time, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was in the state of Ihram. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) returned it and said, "We are in the state of Ihram."

Hadith 1857
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا هُشَيْمٌ , أَخْبَرَنَا مَنْصُورٌ ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ , أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سُئِلَ عَمَّنْ حَلَقَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَذْبَحَ ، وَنَحْوِ ذَلِكَ فَجَعَلَ ، يَقُول : " لَا حَرَجَ لَا حَرَجَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about a person who gets his head shaved before offering the sacrifice, or if there is any other change in the prescribed order, then what is the ruling? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) kept replying to every question, "There is no harm."

Hadith 1858
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، أَخْبَرَنَا خَالِدٌ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا , أنَّ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سُئِلَ عَمَّنْ قَدَّمَ مِنْ نُسُكِهِ شَيْئًا قَبْلَ شَيْءٍ ، فَجَعَلَ يَقُولُ : " لَا حَرَجَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that a person asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about someone who performs some of the rites of Hajj before others and some after others. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "There is no harm."

Hadith 1859
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي زِيَادٍ ، عَنْ مِقْسَمٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ , أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَال : " اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِلْمُحَلِّقِينَ ، فَقَالَ رَجُل : وَلِلْمُقَصِّرِينَ ؟ فَقَالَ : " اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِلْمُحَلِّقِينَ " ، فَقَالَ الرَّجُلُ : وَلِلْمُقَصِّرِينَ ؟ فَقَالَ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ أَوْ الرَّابِعَةِ : " وَلِلْمُقَصِّرِينَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Allah! Forgive those who shave their heads." A man said: "Pray also for those who shorten their hair." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) on the third or fourth time said for those who shorten their hair: "O Allah! Forgive those who shorten their hair as well."

Hadith 1860
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ , أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَفَاضَ مِنْ عَرَفَاتٍ ، وَرِدْفُهُ أُسَامَةُ ، وَأَفَاضَ مِنْ جَمْعٍ وَرِدْفُهُ الْفَضْلُ بْنُ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : " وَلَبَّى حَتَّى رَمَى جَمْرَةَ الْعَقَبَةِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) departed from Arafat, Sayyiduna Usama bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) was seated behind him, and when he departed from Muzdalifah, Sayyiduna Fadl (may Allah be pleased with him) was riding behind the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He says that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) continued reciting the Talbiyah until he reached the stoning of Jamrah Aqabah.

Hadith 1861
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ , أَنَّ امْرَأَةً رَكِبَتْ الْبَحْرَ فَنَذَرَتْ ، إِنْ اللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى أَنْجَاهَا أَنْ تَصُومَ شَهْرًا ، فَأَنْجَاهَا اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ، فَلَمْ تَصُمْ حَتَّى مَاتَتْ ، فَجَاءَتْ قَرَابَةٌ لَهَا إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَذَكَرَتْ ذَلِكَ لَهُ ، فَقَالَ : " صُومِي " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that a woman set out on a sea journey. She made a vow that if Allah Almighty brought her back safely, she would fast for one month. Allah Almighty brought her back safe and sound, but she was not able to fast until her death. One of her female relatives came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and related the whole incident. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "You should fast on her behalf."

Hadith 1862
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الطُّفَاوِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ سَلَمَةَ ، قَالَ : كُنَّا مَعَ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ بِمَكَّةَ ، فَقُلْتُ : " إِنَّا إِذَا كُنَّا مَعَكُمْ صَلَّيْنَا أَرْبَعًا ، وَإِذَا رَجَعْنَا إِلَى رِحَالِنَا صَلَّيْنَا رَكْعَتَيْنِ ، قَالَ : تِلْكَ سُنَّةُ أَبِي الْقَاسِمِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " .
Musa bin Salamah says that we were with Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) in Makkah Mukarramah. We asked him: When we are with you, we perform four rak'ahs, and when we return to our mounts, that is, set out on a journey, we perform two rak'ahs. What is the reality of this? He replied: This is the Sunnah of Abul Qasim (peace and blessings be upon him).

Hadith 1863
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ يُوسُفَ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنْ يُتَّخَذَ ذُو الرُّوحِ غَرَضًا " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade tying any living being and using it as a target for shooting.

Hadith 1864
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ يُوسُفَ ، عَنْ شَرِيكٍ ، عَنْ خُصَيْفٍ ، عَنْ مِقْسَمٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : كَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ ، فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَصْحَابُهُ " فَقَرَأَ سُورَةً طَوِيلَةً ، ثُمَّ رَكَعَ ، ثُمَّ رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ فَقَرَأَ ، ثُمَّ رَكَعَ وَسَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ ، ثُمَّ قَامَ فَقَرَأَ وَرَكَعَ ، ثُمَّ سَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ ، أَرْبَعَ رَكَعَاتٍ وَأَرْبَعَ سَجَدَاتٍ فِي رَكْعَتَيْنِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that once during the Prophetic era, there was a solar eclipse. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood with his companions, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) began the prayer and recited a long surah, then performed bowing (ruku‘), then raised his head and recited again, then performed bowing and did two prostrations (sujood), then stood up and recited, bowed and did two prostrations. In this way, there were four bowings and four prostrations in two rak‘ahs.

Hadith 1865
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ مُسْلِمٍ الْبَطِينِ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : لَمَّا أُخْرِجَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ مَكَّةَ ، قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ : " أَخْرَجُوا نَبِيَّهُمْ ، إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ لَيَهْلِكُنَّ ، فَنَزَلَتْ أُذِنَ لِلَّذِينَ يُقَاتَلُونَ بِأَنَّهُمْ ظُلِمُوا وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلَى نَصْرِهِمْ لَقَدِيرٌ سورة الحج آية 39 ، قَالَ : فَعُرِفَ أَنَّهُ سَيَكُونُ قِتَالٌ ، قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ : هِيَ أَوَّلُ آيَةٍ نَزَلَتْ فِي الْقِتَالِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was expelled from Makkah Mukarramah, Sayyiduna Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) began to say with sorrow: "These people have expelled their Prophet," and he began to recite "Inna lillahi," and said, "They will surely be destroyed." Upon this, the verse was revealed: "Permission [to fight] is given to those against whom fighting is waged, because they have been wronged, and indeed Allah is able to help them." At that moment, he understood that now fighting would certainly take place. Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) says that this is the very first verse regarding the permission to fight.

Hadith 1866
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادُ بْنُ عَبَّادٍ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ صَوَّرَ صُورَةً ، عُذِّبَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ حَتَّى يَنْفُخَ فِيهَا وَلَيْسَ بِنَافِخٍ ، وَمَنْ تَحَلَّمَ عُذِّبَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ حَتَّى يَعْقِدَ شَعِيرَتَيْنِ وَلَيْسَ عَاقِدًا ، وَمَنْ اسْتَمَعَ إِلَى حَدِيثِ قَوْمٍ يَفِرُّونَ بِهِ مِنْهُ ، صُبَّ فِي أُذُنَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ عَذَابٌ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever makes images will be punished on the Day of Resurrection, and it will be said to him: 'Put life into what you have created,' but he will not be able to do so. Whoever narrates a false dream will also be punished on the Day of Resurrection, and he will be ordered to tie two grains of barley together, but he will not be able to do so. And whoever listens to the conversation of a people who do not want him to hear it, molten lead will be poured into his ears on the Day of Resurrection."

Hadith 1867
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الصَّمَدِ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ الْغَطَفَانِيِّ ، عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَال : " لَوْ أَنَّ أَحَدَهُمْ إِذَا أَتَى أَهْلَهُ ، قَال : بِسْمِ اللَّهِ اللَّهُمَّ ، جَنِّبْنِي الشَّيْطَانَ ، وَجَنِّبْ الشَّيْطَانَ مَا رَزَقْتَنَا ، فَإِنْ قُدِرَ بَيْنَهُمَا فِي ذَلِكَ وَلَدٌ لَمْ يَضُرَّ ذَلِكَ الْوَلَدَ الشَّيْطَانُ أَبَدًا " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If a person, when approaching his wife for intimacy, recites this supplication: «بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ اللّٰهُمَّ جَنِّبْنِي الشَّيْطَانَ وَجَنِّبْ الشَّيْطَانَ مَا رَزَقْتَنَا» 'In the name of Allah, O Allah! Protect me from Satan and protect whatever offspring You grant us from Satan,' then if it is decreed that they have a child, Satan will never be able to harm that child."

Hadith 1868
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنِي إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمِنْهَالِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْمَدِينَةَ ، وَالنَّاسُ يُسَلِّفُونَ فِي التَّمْرِ الْعَامَ وَالْعَامَيْنِ ، أَوْ قَالَ عَامَيْنِ ، وَالثَّلَاثَةَ ، فَقَالَ : " مَنْ سَلَّفَ فِي تَمْرٍ ، فَلْيُسَلِّفْ فِي كَيْلٍ مَعْلُومٍ ، وَوَزْنٍ مَعْلُومٍ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with both of them) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) arrived in Madinah, he found out that the people there used to make transactions of dates on credit for one year or two or three years. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever makes a Salam sale in dates, he should specify its measure and specify its weight."

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، أَنْبَأَنَا أَبُو التَّيَّاحِ ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعَثَ بِثَمَانِي عَشْرَةَ بَدَنَةً مَعَ رَجُلٍ ، فَأَمَرَهُ فِيهَا بِأَمْرِهِ ، فَانْطَلَقَ ثُمَّ رَجَعَ إِلَيْهِ ، فَقَالَ : أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ أَزْحَفَ عَلَيْنَا مِنْهَا شَيْءٌ ؟ فَقَالَ : " انْحَرْهَا ، ثُمَّ اصْبُغْ نَعْلَهَا فِي دَمِهَا ، ثُمَّ اجْعَلْهَا عَلَى صَفْحَتِهَا ، وَلَا تَأْكُلْ مِنْهَا أَنْتَ وَلَا أَحَدٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ رُفْقَتِكَ " ، قَالَ عَبْدُ اللّهِ : قال أبى : وَلَمْ يَسْمَعْ إِسْمَاعِيلُ ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ مِنْ أَبِي التَّيَّاحِ ، إِلَّا هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent a man somewhere, giving him eighteen camels and instructing him with what he needed to do. The man left, but after a short while, he returned and said, "Please tell me, if any of these camels becomes exhausted, what should I do?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Slaughter it, soak its shoe in its blood, then apply it to its chest, but neither you nor any of your companions should eat its meat."

Hadith 1870
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ ، قَال : لَا أَدْرِي أَسَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، أَمْ نُبِّئْتُهُ عَنْهُ , قَال : أَتَيْتُ عَلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ بِعَرَفَةَ ، وَهُوَ يَأْكُلُ رُمَّانًا ، فَقَال : " أَفْطَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِعَرَفَةَ ، وَبَعَثَتْ إِلَيْهِ أُمُّ الْفَضْلِ بِلَبَنٍ فَشَرِبَهُ " . (حديث مرفوع) (حديث موقوف) وقَالَ " لَعَنَ اللَّهُ فُلَانًا ، عَمَدُوا إِلَى أَعْظَمِ أَيَّامِ الْحَجِّ ، فَمَحَوْا زِينَتَهُ وَإِنَّمَا زِينَةُ الْحَجِّ التَّلْبِيَةُ " .
Saeed bin Jubair (may Allah have mercy on him) says that once I was present in the plain of Arafat in the service of Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), and at that time he was eating pomegranate. He said that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) also did not fast in the plain of Arafat. Umm al-Fadl had sent him milk, which he drank, and he said: May Allah curse the person who attains one of the greatest days of the days of Hajj and then erases its adornment. The adornment of Hajj is the Talbiyah.

Hadith 1871
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ , أَنَّ عَلِيًّا حَرَّقَ نَاسًا ارْتَدُّوا عَنِ الإِسْلَامِ ، فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ ، فَقَالَ : لَمْ أَكُنْ لِأُحَرِّقَهُمْ بِالنَّارِ ، وَإِنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَال : " لَا تُعَذِّبُوا بِعَذَابِ اللَّهِ " ، وَكُنْتُ قَاتِلَهُمْ لِقَوْلِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " مَنْ بَدَّلَ دِينَهُ ، فَاقْتُلُوهُ " ، فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ عَلِيًّا كَرَّمَ اللَّهُ وَجْهَهُ ، فَقَالَ : وَيْحَ ابْنِ أُمِّ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ .
Ikrimah (may Allah have mercy on him) says that once Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) burned some apostates. When Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) found out, he said: If I had been there, I would not have burned them with fire, because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Do not punish anyone with the punishment of Allah." Rather, I would have killed them, because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever changes his religion, kill him." When Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) learned of this, he expressed regret (that why was this not known earlier?).

Hadith 1872
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ أَخْبَرَنَا أَيُّوبُ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ , أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لَيْسَ لَنَا مَثَلُ السُّوءِ الْعَائِدُ فِي هِبَتِهِ ، كَالْكَلْبِ يَعُودُ فِي قَيْئِهِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "An evil example is not for us. Whoever asks for a gift back after giving it is like a dog that vomits and then licks it up again."

Hadith 1873
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَطَاءٌ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ إِذَا جَاءَ نَصْرُ اللَّهِ وَالْفَتْحُ سورة النصر آية 1 ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " نُعِيَتْ إِلَيَّ نَفْسِي " بِأَنَّهُ مَقْبُوضٌ فِي تِلْكَ السَّنَةِ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that when the blessed Surah An-Nasr was revealed, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I have been informed that I will be taken (from this world) in this very year."

Hadith 1874
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، " يَجْمَعُ بَيْنَ الصَّلَاتَيْنِ فِي السَّفَرِ ، الْمَغْرِبِ وَالْعِشَاءِ ، وَالظُّهْرِ وَالْعَصْرِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to combine Maghrib and Isha, and Dhuhr and Asr during travel.

Hadith 1875
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ أَبِي عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَلْعُونٌ مَنْ سَبَّ أَبَاهُ ، مَلْعُونٌ مَنْ سَبَّ أُمَّهُ ، مَلْعُونٌ مَنْ ذَبَحَ لِغَيْرِ اللَّهِ ، مَلْعُونٌ مَنْ غَيَّرَ تُخُومَ الأَرْضِ ، مَلْعُونٌ مَنْ كَمَهَ أَعْمَى عَنْ طَرِيقٍ ، مَلْعُونٌ مَنْ وَقَعَ عَلَى بَهِيمَةٍ ، مَلْعُونٌ مَنْ عَمِلَ بِعَمَلِ قَوْمِ لُوطٍ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Cursed is the one who abuses his father, cursed is the one who abuses his mother, cursed is the one who slaughters an animal in the name of other than Allah, cursed is the one who changes the boundaries of the land, cursed is the one who falls upon an animal, and cursed is the one who commits the act of the people of Lot.”

Hadith 1876
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : " رَدَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ زَيْنَبَ ابْنَتَهُ ، عَلَى زَوْجِهَا أَبِي الْعَاصِ بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ بِالنِّكَاحِ الأَوَّلِ ، وَلَمْ يُحْدِثْ شَيْئًا " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) handed over his daughter, Sayyidah Zainab (may Allah be pleased with her), to her husband Abu Al-As ibn Al-Rabi’ (upon his acceptance of Islam) on the basis of the previous marriage, and did not perform a new marriage.
