Hadith 1730
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Imam Hussain (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The beggar has a right, even if he is riding on a horse."
Hadith 1731
(حديث مرفوع) أَنْبَأَنَا
وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا
ثَابِتُ بْنُ عُمَارَةَ ، عَنْ
رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ شَيْبَانَ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ
لِلْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ : عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ؟ قَالَ : صَعِدْتُ مَعَهُ غُرْفَةَ الصَّدَقَةِ ، فَأَخَذْتُ تَمْرَةً ، فَلُكْتُهَا فِي فِيَّ ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَلْقِهَا ، فَإِنَّهَا لَا تَحِلُّ لَنَا الصَّدَقَةُ " .
Rabi’ah bin Shayban says that I asked Sayyiduna Imam Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) if he remembered anything from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He replied: Once I climbed up to the upper room where the charity goods were kept. I picked up a date and began to chew it in my mouth. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Take it out, for charity is not lawful for us.”
Hadith 1732
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Imam Hussain (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is from the excellence of a person's Islam that he minimizes his speech in idle matters and abandons them."
Hadith 1733
Muhammad bin Ali says that once a funeral passed by, people stood up but Sayyiduna Imam Hussain (may Allah be pleased with him) did not stand up, and said that the Prophet (peace be upon him) only stood up because he was troubled by the stench of that Jew whose funeral was passing by.
Hadith 1734
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Imam Hussain (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whenever any Muslim man or woman is afflicted with a calamity—even if a long time has passed since it occurred—and whenever it comes to mind, he or she says «إِنَّا لِلّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُوْنَ», then Allah Almighty will grant him or her the same reward as He granted on the day the calamity befell."
Hadith 1735
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Imam Hussain (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) taught me some words which I recite in Witr, after which the narrator mentioned the complete hadith.
Hadith 1736
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Imam Hussain (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The real miser is the one in whose presence my mention is made and he does not send blessings upon me."
Hadith 1737
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Imam Hussain (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is from the excellence of a person's Islam that he leaves what does not concern him."
