Hadith 1
Qais reports that once Hazrat Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) stood up to deliver a sermon, and after praising and glorifying Allah, he said: O people! You recite this verse: «يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا عَلَيْكُمْ أَنفُسَكُمْ لَا يَضُرُّكُم مَّن ضَلَّ إِذَا اهْتَدَيْتُمْ إِلَى اللَّـهِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ جَمِيعًا فَيُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ» [5-المائدة:105] "O you who believe! Take care of your own selves. If you follow the right guidance, no one who goes astray can harm you." And we heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say that when people see a sinful act being committed and do not try to change it, soon Allah's punishment will encompass all of them.

Hadith 2
Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) says that whenever I heard a hadith from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), Allah Almighty, as He willed, made me benefit from it. And when another person narrated a hadith of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to me, I would make him swear an oath; when he swore that he had heard this hadith from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), only then would I accept his statement as true. Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated this hadith to me, and he is truthful in narrating this hadith, that he heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Whoever commits a sin, then performs ablution and does it well, then offers two units of prayer and seeks forgiveness from Allah for his sin, Allah Almighty will surely forgive his sin.

It is narrated from Hazrat Bara bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) that once Sayyiduna Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) bought a saddle from my father, Hazrat Azib (may Allah be pleased with him), for thirteen dirhams and said to my father, "Tell your son Bara to carry it to my house." My father said, "First, tell us about the incident when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) migrated from Makkah and you were with him." Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "On the night of migration, we set out in the darkness of the night and traveled quickly all day and all night until it was time for Zuhr. I looked around to see if there was any shade. Suddenly, I saw a rock, so I rushed towards it and found some shade there. I leveled the place and spread my cloak for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to sit on, and then I said, 'O Messenger of Allah! Please rest for a while.' So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) lay down. Meanwhile, I went out to see if there was any spy around. Suddenly, I met a shepherd with some goats. I asked him, 'Son! Whose are you?' He mentioned the name of a man from the Quraysh whom I knew. I asked him, 'Do your goats have milk?' He replied in the affirmative. I asked him to milk one for me, and he agreed and caught hold of a goat at my request. Then I asked him to clean the dust off the goat's udder, which he did. Then I asked him to dust off his hands so that the dust would be removed, and he did so. At that time, I had a vessel with a small cloth tied over its mouth. He milked a little milk into it, and I sprinkled water on it so that the vessel would cool from below. After that, I went to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). When I arrived, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had woken up. I requested the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to drink the milk, which he accepted and drank so much that I was satisfied and happy. After that, I asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), 'Is it time to depart now, and should we proceed?' At the indication of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), we set out from there. The whole tribe was searching for us, but no one could find us except Suraqah bin Malik bin Ju'sham, who was riding his horse. When I saw Suraqah, I said to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), 'O Messenger of Allah! This spy has reached us, what will happen now?' The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, 'Do not be sad or disheartened, Allah is with us.' Meanwhile, he came even closer, and there was only a distance of one or two or three spears between us and him. I again said, 'O Messenger of Allah! He has come very close to us,' and saying this, I began to weep. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked me the reason for my weeping. I replied, 'By Allah! I am not weeping for myself, I am weeping for you, for if you are captured, I do not know what they will do to you.' At this, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed against Suraqah, 'O Allah! Protect us from him as You will.' At that moment, the legs of his horse sank into the ground up to its belly, even though the ground was extremely flat and hard, and Suraqah fell off. He said, 'O Muhammad! I know this is your doing. Pray to Allah to save me from this calamity. I swear by Allah that I will keep all those who are following me in search of you away from you and will not let anyone know about you. Also, here is my quiver; take an arrow from it as a sign. At such and such places, you will pass by my camels and goats; take from them whatever you need.' The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, 'I have no need of this.' Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed, and he was released. After that, he returned to his companions, and we both continued on our way until we reached Madinah Munawwarah. People came out of their houses to meet the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), some stood on the roofs of their houses to catch a glimpse of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and on the way, children and slaves gathered, loudly proclaiming the takbir and saying, 'The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) has arrived, Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) has arrived.' Upon the arrival of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), there was a dispute among the people as to which tribe the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would be a guest of. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) settled the dispute by saying, 'Tonight, I will be the guest of the maternal uncles of Abdul Muttalib, the Banu Najjar, so that it may be an honor for them.' And so it happened, and when morning came, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went to the place where he was commanded. Hazrat Bara bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that among the Muhajirin, the first to come to us was Hazrat Mus'ab bin Umair (may Allah be pleased with him), who belonged to Banu Abd al-Dar, then the blind companion Hazrat Ibn Umm Maktum (may Allah be pleased with him), who belonged to Banu Fihr, and after that, Hazrat Umar Farooq (may Allah be pleased with him) arrived with twenty horsemen. When Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) came, we asked him what the intention of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was. He told us that he was coming right behind me. Shortly after, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also arrived in Madinah Munawwarah, and Hazrat Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) was with him. Hazrat Bara (may Allah be pleased with him) also says that before the arrival of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), I had already read and memorized many surahs from the Mufassalat. The narrator of the hadith, Isra'il, says that Hazrat Bara bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) belonged to the Ansar tribe of Banu Harithah.

Hadith 4
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent him as the leader of Hajj, he also entrusted him with the responsibility of announcing to the people of Makkah this declaration of disassociation: that after this year, no polytheist will be able to perform Hajj, no man will be able to circumambulate the Ka'bah naked, only that person will enter Paradise who is a Muslim, and if anyone has a treaty with the Prophet of Islam (peace and blessings be upon him) for a specific period, it will remain valid until its term ends, and that Allah and His Messenger are free from (obligations to) the polytheists. When Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) set out with this message and had covered a distance of three days, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him): "Go after Abu Bakr, call him back to me, and you are not to lead the Hajj, but only to deliver the message to the people of Makkah." Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) set out. When Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) returned, tears were flowing from his eyes and he said, "O Messenger of Allah! Has something new happened regarding me?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Only good can happen regarding you. The real matter is that, according to the custom of the Arabs, either I myself could deliver this message to the people of Makkah, or a member of my family. That is why I have entrusted this responsibility only to Ali."

Awsat narrates that Hazrat Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) once stood up to deliver a sermon and said: "At this place, last year, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stood to deliver a sermon." Saying this, he began to weep. Then he said: "Seek forgiveness from Allah, for after faith, no blessing greater than well-being has been given to anyone. Adhere to truthfulness, for truthfulness is associated with righteousness, and both of these will be in Paradise. Protect yourselves from lying, for lying is associated with sin, and both of these will be in Hell. Do not envy one another, do not bear malice, do not sever relations, do not turn your faces away from one another, and O servants of Allah! Be brothers to one another."

Hazrat Rifa’ah bin Rafi’ says that I heard Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) saying on the pulpit of the Messenger of Allah that I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying this. Mentioning the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) was overcome with weeping and he began to cry. Then, when he regained his composure, he said: Last year, at this very place, I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying: Ask Allah for His pardon and well-being, and pray for certainty in this world and the Hereafter.

On one occasion, Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) submitted to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): O Messenger of Allah! Teach me a supplication that I may recite in my prayer. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) taught him this supplication «اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِي ظُلْمًا كَثِيرًا ، وَلَا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ ، فَاغْفِرْ لِي مَغْفِرَةً مِنْ عِنْدِكَ ، وَارْحَمْنِي ، إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ»: O Allah! I have greatly wronged myself, and none forgives sins except You, so forgive me with Your special grace and have mercy on me. Surely, You are the Most Forgiving, Most Merciful.

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) that after the blessed passing of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), one day Hazrat Fatima (may Allah be pleased with her) and Hazrat Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) came to Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) to demand the inheritance of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). At that time, their demand was for the land of Fadak and a share of Khaybar. After listening to the conversation of these two noble persons, Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say that inheritance is not established in our wealth; rather, whatever we leave behind is all charity. However, the family of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) can eat from this wealth, and I swear that as I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) doing, I will not leave this way under any circumstances.

Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) says that I heard Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) saying on this pulpit of the Messenger that on this very day last year I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying this, and while saying this he began to weep and tears flowed from his eyes. After a little while, he said that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying that after the word of Tawheed and sincerity, you have not been given any blessing greater than well-being, so ask Allah for well-being.

Abu al-Tufail says that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away, Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) sent a message to Abu Bakr al-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) through a messenger, asking: "Are you the heir of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), or are the family of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) his heirs?" He replied: "The family of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) are his heirs." Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "Then where is the share of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)?" Abu Bakr al-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) replied: "I myself heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say that when Allah gives something to His Prophet, and then calls him back to Himself, its management is in the hands of the one who is the caliph of the time. Therefore, I consider it appropriate to distribute this wealth among the Muslims." After hearing all these details, Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "You know best what you heard from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)." Thus, after that, she stopped demanding it.

.
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) that one day the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) led the morning Fajr prayer, and after leading the prayer, he remained seated on his prayer mat until the time of Duha (forenoon). At the time of Duha, signs of laughter appeared on the blessed face of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), but he remained seated in his place. He continued in this state until he had performed the Zuhr, Asr, and Maghrib prayers as well. During this time, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not speak to anyone, until he also performed the Isha prayer. After that, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went to his home.

People said to Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him), "Why do you not ask the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about the events of today? Today, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) has done something that he has never done before." So Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) went and asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about that day. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Yes! I will tell you. In fact, today all the matters of this world and the Hereafter that are to occur in the future were presented before me. I was shown that all the first and the last (of mankind) were gathered on a mound. People, distressed by sweat, were extremely anxious, and in this state, they went to Hazrat Adam (peace be upon him), with sweat as if bridling their mouths. The people said to Hazrat Adam (peace be upon him), 'O Adam! You are the father of mankind. Allah has chosen you. Intercede for us with your Lord.' Hazrat Adam (peace be upon him) replied, 'My condition is the same as yours. After your father Adam, go to the second father of mankind, Hazrat Nuh (peace be upon him), for Allah has also chosen him as His servant.' So all the people went to Hazrat Nuh (peace be upon him) and said to him, 'Intercede for us with your Lord. Allah has chosen you as His servant, accepted your prayers, and left no house of a disbeliever on earth.' He replied, 'What you seek is not with me. Go to Hazrat Ibrahim (peace be upon him), for Allah has made him His friend (Khalil).' So all the people went to Hazrat Ibrahim (peace be upon him), but he also said, 'What you seek is not with me. However, go to Hazrat Musa (peace be upon him), for Allah spoke to him directly.' Hazrat Musa (peace be upon him) also excused himself and said, 'Go to Hazrat Isa (peace be upon him), who would cure the blind and the leper and, by Allah's command, bring the dead to life.' But Hazrat Isa (peace be upon him) also excused himself and said, 'Go to the one who is the leader of all the children of Adam, the first person whose grave will be opened on the Day of Resurrection. Go to Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him); he will intercede for you.'

So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) goes to the Divine Court. At the same time, Hazrat Jibreel (peace be upon him) presents himself in the Divine Court. Allah commands, 'Allow My Prophet to come and give him the glad tidings of Paradise.' So Hazrat Jibreel (peace be upon him) conveys this message to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and upon hearing it, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) falls into prostration and remains in prostration continuously for a week. After a week passes, Allah says, 'O Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)! Raise your head. Whatever you say, We are ready to listen. Whoever you intercede for, your intercession will be accepted.' Upon hearing this, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) raises his head, and as soon as his gaze falls upon the radiant countenance of his Lord, he again falls into prostration and remains in prostration for another week. Then Allah says, 'Raise your head. Whatever you say will be heard, and whoever you intercede for will be accepted.' The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would wish to remain in prostration, but Hazrat Jibreel (peace be upon him) comes and lifts him by the arm, and Allah opens for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) the door of such supplications as had never been opened for any human before.

After this, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) says, 'O Lord! You created me as the leader of the children of Adam, and I do not boast about it. On the Day of Resurrection, the earth will be opened for me first, and I do not boast about it. So much so that those coming to me at the Pond of Kawthar will be so many that they will fill a space greater than the distance between Sana'a and Aylah.' After this, it will be said, 'Call the Siddiqeen (the truthful).' They will come and intercede. Then it will be said, 'Call the other Prophets.' So some Prophets will come with a large group of believers, some with five or six people, and some with none. Then the martyrs will be called, and they will intercede for whomever they wish. When the martyrs have also interceded, Allah will say, 'I am the Most Merciful of the merciful. All those who did not associate anyone with Me should enter Paradise.' So all such people will enter Paradise. After that, Allah will say, 'See if there is anyone in Hell who ever did any good deed?' Upon searching, not even one person will be found, except one man, who will be presented before Allah. Allah will ask him, 'Did you ever do any good deed?' He will reply, 'No! But I used to show leniency to the poor during buying, selling, and trade.' Allah will say, 'Just as he was lenient with My servants, you also be lenient with him.' So he will be forgiven.

After this, the angels will bring out another man from Hell. Allah will ask him the same question, 'Did you ever do any good deed?' He will say, 'No! But I did instruct my children that when I die, burn me in fire, make my ashes into kohl, and scatter them by the sea, so that even the Lord of the worlds would not be able to overpower me.' Allah will ask, 'Why did you do this?' He will reply, 'Out of fear of You.' Allah will say, 'Look at the kingdom of the greatest King; We have granted you the rule of ten such kingdoms.' He will say, 'O Lord! You are the King of kings; why do You make fun of me?' At this, I laughed at the time of Duha, and I smiled."

Qais says that once Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) stood up to deliver a sermon, and after praising Allah, he said: O people! You recite this verse: «يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا عَلَيْكُمْ أَنفُسَكُمْ لَا يَضُرُّكُم مَّن ضَلَّ إِذَا اهْتَدَيْتُمْ إِلَى اللَّـهِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ جَمِيعًا فَيُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ» [5-المائدة:105] "O you who believe! Take care of your own selves. If you follow the right guidance, no one who goes astray can harm you." But you do not interpret it correctly. I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say that when people see a sinful act being committed and do not try to change it, soon Allah's punishment will encompass all of them. I also heard Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) say: Protect yourselves from lying, for lying is separate from faith.

Awsat says that after the blessed passing of the Prophet (peace be upon him), he heard Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) saying that last year the Prophet (peace be upon him) stood at this place. Saying this, he began to weep, then said: Adhere to truthfulness, for truthfulness is associated with righteousness, and both of these will be in Paradise. Guard yourselves against lying, for lying is associated with sin, and both of these will be in Hell. And ask Allah for well-being, for after faith, no blessing has been given to anyone greater than well-being. Then he said: Do not envy one another, do not bear malice, do not sever ties, do not turn away from one another, and O servants of Allah! Be brothers to one another.

Humaid bin Abdur Rahman says that at the time when the Noble Prophet, the Leader of the two worlds, peace and blessings be upon him, passed away, Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq, may Allah be pleased with him, was in a nearby area of Madinah Munawwarah. As soon as he heard the news of the Prophet’s passing, he came, uncovered the blessed face of the Prophet, kissed him, and said, “May my parents be sacrificed for you! How pure you are in life and even after this worldly life. By the Lord of the Ka’bah! Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, has left us.” After this, Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq, may Allah be pleased with him, and Hazrat Farooq Azam, may Allah be pleased with him, quickly set out towards Saqifah Bani Sa’idah, where all the Ansar had gathered to decide the matter of the caliphate. These two noble companions reached there, and Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq, may Allah be pleased with him, began to speak. During this, he recited all the verses of the Noble Qur’an and all the sayings of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, that related to the virtues of the Ansar, and said, “You people know that if people walked on one path and the Ansar on another, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, would choose the path of the Ansar.” Then, addressing Hazrat Sa’d bin Ubadah, may Allah be pleased with him, he said, “Sa’d! You also know that in a gathering in which you were present, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said that the rightful claim to the caliphate would be with the Quraysh. Among the people, those who are righteous will follow the righteous among the Quraysh, and those who are wicked will follow the wicked.” Hazrat Sa’d bin Ubadah, may Allah be pleased with him, said, “You speak the truth. Now we will be ministers and you will be the leader, that is, the caliph.”

The deeds that we do, have they already been written or do our actions come first?" He replied, "No! Rather, they have already been written." Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) submitted, "O Messenger of Allah! Then what is the benefit of action?" He replied, "For whichever purpose a person has been created, its means are provided for him and that action is made easy for him."

Hazrat Uthman Ghani (may Allah be pleased with him) once narrated this hadith that after the passing of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), many of the noble companions (may Allah be pleased with them) became sorrowful, and in fact, some individuals began to be surrounded by various kinds of doubts and whispers. I too was in a similar state. In this context, one day I was sitting in the shade of a mound when Hazrat Umar Farooq (may Allah be pleased with him) passed by. He greeted me with salam, but I did not even realize that he had passed by or that he had greeted me. Hazrat Umar Farooq (may Allah be pleased with him) went straight from there to Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) and said to him, "Shall I tell you something astonishing? I just passed by Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him), I greeted him with salam, but he did not reply to my salam." This incident is from the time of the caliphate of Siddiq. Accordingly, a little while later, Hazrat Siddiq Akbar (may Allah be pleased with him) and Hazrat Umar Farooq (may Allah be pleased with him) were seen coming from the front. As soon as they arrived, both of them greeted me with salam. After this, Hazrat Siddiq Akbar (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "Just now your brother Umar came to me. He was saying that he passed by you, greeted you with salam, but you did not reply to his salam. Why did you do this?" I said, "I did not do any such thing." Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "Why not! I swear that you did this. The real issue is, O Banu Umayyah! You people consider yourselves superior to others." I said, "By Allah! I was neither aware of your passing by nor did I know that you greeted me with salam." Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "Uthman is telling the truth. Well, tell me, were you lost in thought?" I replied, "Yes." Hazrat Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) asked, "What thoughts were you absorbed in?" I replied, "Allah Almighty has called His Prophet to Himself, and I was not even able to ask him what the way to be saved safely from this calamity would be." Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "I have already asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about this." Hearing this, I stood up and said, "May my parents be sacrificed for you! You were more deserving to ask this question, so now please tell me the answer as well." Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "I asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), 'O Messenger of Allah! What will be the way to salvation from this grievous calamity?' So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'Whoever accepts from me that word of Tawheed which I presented to my uncle Khawaja Abu Talib and he refused to say that word, that very word is the way and means of salvation for every person.'"

Yazid bin Abi Sufyan narrates that when Sayyiduna Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) sent me towards Syria, he advised me, saying: "Yazid! You have some relatives, and it is possible that, because you are the commander of the army, you may give preference to your relatives. Of all things, this is what I fear most regarding you, because the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever is made responsible for any collective affair of the Muslims and, by giving preference to others, appoints someone to a position, the curse of Allah is upon him. Allah will not accept any obligatory or voluntary act of worship from him, until He admits him into Hell. And whoever gives someone protection in the name of Allah, and then unjustly breaks the promise of protection given in Allah’s name, the curse of Allah is upon him, or he said: Allah is free from him."

I requested my Lord to increase this number, so He accepted my request and added seventy thousand more with each one of them. (Thus, by multiplying each of the seventy thousand by seventy thousand, the resulting number will all enter Paradise in the mentioned manner.)" It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) that after the blessed passing of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), Hazrat Fatimah al-Zahra (may Allah be pleased with her) requested Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) to distribute the inheritance of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) from the spoils of war. Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) said to her that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Inheritance is not established in our wealth; whatever we leave behind is charity." Hazrat Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) felt some burden in her heart about this, so she stopped speaking to Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding this matter, and this continued until the death of Hazrat Fatimah al-Zahra (may Allah be pleased with her). It should be noted that Hazrat Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) lived only six months after the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). In fact, Hazrat Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) was demanding the inheritance of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) from the lands of Khyber and Fadak, and she also wanted to receive her share from the charities of Madinah. Hazrat Siddiq Akbar (may Allah be pleased with him) apologized for fulfilling this demand and said that just as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to do things, I cannot leave them, rather I will act in the same way as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded, because I fear that if I leave any action or way of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), I will go astray. Later, Hazrat Umar Farooq (may Allah be pleased with him) entrusted the management of the charities of Madinah to Hazrat Ali and Hazrat Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them), in which Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) prevailed over Hazrat Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him), while the lands of Khyber and Fadak were kept under the administration of the caliph by Hazrat Umar Farooq (may Allah be pleased with him), and he said that these are the charity of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and their use is for emergent rights and difficult circumstances, and their responsibility will be borne by whoever is the caliph. That is why this is their situation to this day.

Until Abu Bakr al-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) resolved this issue by saying: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say that every Prophet is buried at the place where he passes away. Thus, the noble companions (may Allah be pleased with them) lifted the blessed bed of the Prophet (peace be upon him), dug the grave beneath it, and the burial took place there.

Amr bin Harith narrates that once Sayyiduna Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) became ill. When he recovered, he came out to meet the people, apologized to them, and said, "We only desire good." Then he said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) narrated this hadith to us: "The Dajjal will emerge from an eastern region called 'Khurasan,' and people will follow him whose faces will be like flat shields."

Awsat says that after the caliphate, Sayyiduna Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) once stood to deliver a sermon, and I heard him say that last year, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood in this very place to deliver a sermon. Saying this, he began to weep, then said: I ask Allah for forgiveness and well-being, for after faith, no greater blessing has been given to anyone than well-being. Adhere to truthfulness, for truthfulness will be in Paradise. Protect yourselves from lying, for lying is related to sin, and both of these will be in Hell. Do not envy one another, do not bear malice, do not sever ties, do not turn your faces away from one another, and O servants of Allah! Live as brothers among yourselves.

Sayyiduna Uthman Ghani (may Allah be pleased with him) says that I had a great desire that I wish I had asked before the passing of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) what can save us from the whispers and thoughts that Satan puts into our hearts? Upon hearing this, Sayyiduna Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) said that I have already asked this question to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), to which the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied that you should continue to recite the same statement of Tawheed that I presented before my uncle, but he refused to say that statement. The abundance of this statement alone will save you from those whispers.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that when the noble companions (may Allah be pleased with them) intended to dig the blessed grave after the passing of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), it was found that Sayyiduna Abu Ubaidah bin Al-Jarrah (may Allah be pleased with him) used to make a box-shaped grave as was the custom of the people of Makkah, and Sayyiduna Abu Talhah (may Allah be pleased with him), whose real name was Zayd bin Sahl, used to make a niche grave for the people of Madinah. So Sayyiduna Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) called two men, sending one to Sayyiduna Abu Ubaidah (may Allah be pleased with him) and the other to Abu Talhah (may Allah be pleased with him), and prayed, "O Allah! Choose what is better for Your Prophet." The man who went to Abu Talhah (may Allah be pleased with him) found him and brought him along, and thus a niche grave was prepared for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).

Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Harith narrates that once, a few days after the blessed passing of the Prophet (ﷺ), I performed the Asr prayer and came out of Masjid Nabawi with Sayyiduna Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him). Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) was also on one side of Sayyiduna Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him). Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) passed by Sayyiduna Imam Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him), who was playing with his companions. Sayyiduna Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) picked him up and placed him on his shoulder and said, "May my father be sacrificed for him, he is a complete likeness of the Prophet (ﷺ), and resembles Ali only a little." And Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) smiled upon hearing this.
