حَدِيثُ مَيْمُونَةَ بِنْتِ سَعْدٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا
Hadith of Maymunah bint Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with her)
Hadith 27624
حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ ، وَأَبُو نُعَيْمٍ , قَالَا : حدثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي يَزِيدَ الضَّنِّيِّ ، عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ بِنْتِ سَعْدٍ مَوْلَاةِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَتْ : سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ وَلَدِ الزِّنَا ، قَالَ : " لَا خَيْرَ فِيهِ نَعْلَانِ أُجَاهِدُ بِهِمَا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ، أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنْ أَنْ أُعْتِقَ وَلَدَ زِنًا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Maymunah bint Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with her), who was a freed slave of the Prophet, that a person asked the Prophet (peace be upon him) about the "illegitimate child." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "There is no good in him. In my view, the two sandals which I wear while striving in the path of Allah are better than freeing any child of adultery."
Hadith 27625
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي يَزِيدَ الضَّنِّيِّ ، عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ مَوْلَاةِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَتْ : سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ رَجُلٍ قَبَّلَ امْرَأَتَهُ وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ ، قَالَ : " قَدْ أَفْطَرَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her) that a person asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about this issue: If a man kisses his wife while both are fasting, what is the ruling? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Their fast is broken."
Hadith 27626
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ بَحْرٍ ، قَالَ : حدثَنَا عِيسَى ، قَالَ : ثَنَا ثَوْرٌ ، عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ أَبِي سَوْدَةَ ، عَنْ أَخِيهِ ، أَنَّ مَيْمُونَةَ مَوْلَاةَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَتْ : يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ ، أَفْتِنَا فِي بَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ ؟ فَقَالَ : " أَرْضُ الْمَنْشَرِ وَالْمَحْشَرِ ، ائْتُوهُ فَصَلُّوا فِيهِ ، فَإِنَّ صَلَاةً فِيهِ كَأَلْفِ صَلَاةٍ فِيمَا سِوَاهُ " ، قَالَتْ : أَرَأَيْتَ مَنْ لَمْ يُطِقْ أَنْ يَتَحَمَّلَ إِلَيْهِ ، أَوْ يَأْتِيَهُ ؟ قَالَ : " فَلْيُهْدِ إِلَيْهِ زَيْتًا يُسْرَجُ فِيهِ ، فَإِنَّ مَنْ أَهْدَى لَهُ ، كَانَ كَمَنْ صَلَّى فِيهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she submitted in the court of the Prophet: O Messenger of Allah! Tell us something about Bayt al-Maqdis. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is the land of resurrection and gathering. Go there and pray in it, for praying one prayer in Bayt al-Maqdis is equal to a thousand prayers elsewhere." She asked: Tell me, if a person does not have the ability to go there, what should he do? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "He should send olive oil to be used in its lamps, for the one who sends a gift to it is like the one who has prayed in it."
Hadith 27627
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُوسَى الْهَرَوِيُّ ، قَالَ : ثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ بِإِسْنَادِهِ ، فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ.
The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain of transmission.
