حَدِيثُ أُمِّ عُمَارَةَ بِنْتِ كَعْبٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا
Hadith of Umm 'Ammarah bint Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with her)
Hadith 27472
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ , عَنْ حَبِيبٍ رَجُلٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ , عَنْ مَوْلَاةٍ لَهُمْ يُقَالُ لَهَا : لَيْلَى , تُحَدِّثُ , عَنْ جَدَّتِي وَهِيَ أُمُّ عُمَارَةَ بِنْتُ كَعْبٍ , أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا , فَقَرَّبَتْ إِلَيْهِ طَعَامًا , فَقَالَ لَهَا : " كُلِي " , فَقَالَتْ : إِنِّي صَائِمَةٌ , فَقَالَ : " إِنَّ الْمَلَائِكَةَ تُصَلِّي عَلَى الصَّائِمِ إِذَا أُكِلَ عِنْدَهُ حَتَّى يَفْرُغُوا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Ammarah (may Allah be pleased with her) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to her house. She presented dates before the guests. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You also eat." I submitted that I am fasting. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When something that breaks the fast is being eaten in front of a fasting person, the angels continue to pray for that fasting person until the people get up.
Hadith 27473
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ , عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ , عَنْ امْرَأَةٍ يُقَالُ لَهَا : لَيْلَى , عَنْ أُمِّ عُمَارَةَ , قَالَتْ : أَتَانَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , فَقَرَّبْنَا إِلَيْهِ طَعَامًا , فَكَانَ بَعْضُ مَنْ عِنْدَهُ صَائِمًا , فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا أُكِلَ عِنْدَ الصَّائِمِ الطَّعَامُ , صَلَّتْ عَلَيْهِ الْمَلَائِكَةُ " .
