Hadith 27464
حَدَّثَنَا
يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ , أَخْبَرَنَا
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ , عَنِ
ضَمْرَةَ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ , عَنْ
جَدَّتِهِ , عَنِ
امْرَأَةٍ مِنْ نِسَائِهِمْ وَكَانَتْ قَدْ صَلَّتْ الْقِبْلَتَيْنِ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَتْ : دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , فَقَالَ :
" اخْتَضِبِي , تَتْرُكُ إِحْدَاكُنَّ الْخِضَابَ , حَتَّى تَكُونَ يَدُهَا كَيَدِ الرَّجُلِ " , قَالَتْ : فَمَا تَرَكَتْ الْخِضَابَ حَتَّى لَقِيَتْ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى , وَإِنْ كَانَتْ لَتَخْتَضِبُ وَهِيَ بِنْتُ ثَمَانِينَ.
A woman (who had the honor of praying towards both Qiblahs) says that once the Prophet (peace be upon him) came to my house and said to me: "Apply henna, you people stop applying henna and your hands become like the hands of men." After that, I never stopped applying henna and I will continue to do so until I meet Allah. The narrator says that she used to apply henna even at the age of one hundred years.
