It is narrated from Hazrat Saudah bint Zam’ah (may Allah be pleased with her) that a man came to the Prophet’s court and said, “My father has become old and cannot perform Hajj (what is the ruling for him?)” The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Tell me, if your father had a debt and you paid it off, would it not be accepted?” He replied, “Certainly, it would be accepted.” The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Then Allah is Most Merciful; perform Hajj on behalf of your father.”

It is narrated from Hazrat Saudah (may Allah be pleased with her) that one of our goats died, so we tanned its skin and continued to make nabidh in it until it became old and dried up.

It is narrated from Hazrat Saudah bint Zam’ah (may Allah be pleased with her) that once I presented myself before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: “My father Zam’ah has passed away and he has left behind an umm walad slave woman, whom we suspect with a certain man, because she has given birth to a child who resembles that man whom we suspect her with.” The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Observe veiling from that boy, for he is not your brother, but he will receive inheritance.”
